Tiny place with great food

I read about this before we went otherwise I might not have noticed it. We saw another couple outside writing on a slip of paper and they told us to go in and get a slip. You fill out an order form before you're seated, unless you get right in. This couple told us their favorites and we're glad... read more

Pork Soup Dumplings like your Chinese Grandma used to make are the top pick at this teeny-tiny little storefront eatery. More like your workday lunchroom than the more upscale Din Tai Fung, but authentic flavors are certainly there.Serve is quick and friendly, and little kids and babies are especially welcome. Great alternative for families on a budget. Don't miss the... More

I love this place- the pan-fried dumplings are consistently delicious! However, I'm a local and need to give a heads-up to travelers: this is not a place to go for the restaurant experience. You go for the food, and that's it. Service is efficient, decor is basic. 1) It's a small place, so get there with time to spare, because... More

I want to say terrible things about this place so you don't go there and eat all the dumplings before I can order mine, but to be honest, this place reigns supreme. DTF is its biggest competitor, but LD is simply better. DTF is a fancier, higher end spot, while LD is just about making the most tender, perfect dumplings... More

now that dumpling places are a dime a dozen around this part of town, this one stands out as it has a distinct taste...it's busy for a good reason, enough that they opened another location in a part of town with less Asians. Fair prices and yes, they can speak English. For out of towners, don't feel afraid to go... More

If you come to this restaurant for dinner, come early. They are justifiably popular with their house specialty--soup and dumplings. Very homey, just like what mom tried to make. Prices are fair and the family who runs this restaurant will do their best to make you feel at home!

Excellent beef stew! Small place, but the prices are great. Good potstickers as well.
