Quality authentic Chinese food

This is a popular Chinese BBQ restaurant chain in the US. They are usually tied to 99 Range Market. They have good BBQ and noodle dishes. This place is small and is always packed. They have the $2 house soup at dinner time. It is a bargain. Their Chow Fun is excellent. Service is average to... read more

Food was ok but service was horrible, the waitress was very impatient not to mention that end of the meal the waitress even dared to ask for additional tip! I mean 1 dollar is not much but how could you have the face to ask for that???

This is the most famous Chinese food restaurant in Chinese community, but also good for all people. This is the kind of Chinese food serve mostly Cantonese dishes, historical and keep on serving great.

This time, I would like to share my dining experience in Sam Woo Barbecue restaurant in San Gabriel, CA, end of last year. This was our 2nd visit in the past two years where the first visit, we noticed the food quality was not as good as it was during early days when they were still very famous and popular.... More

The barbecue meat such as the cha siu are pretty good. But one thing I realize about typical Chinese food in US is that more quantity than quality. If you come hungry then this is a good place to eat and all the food is authentic. But, sometimes I prefer good quality food and this is not the place. The... More

This is the Chinese Restaurant on Valley & Del Mar near the 99 Ranch Market. It's the one on the 1st floor and it's better than the Sam Woo on the 2nd floor. What's the difference? HUGE difference. Trust me. This Sam Woo has in my opinion the best Chinese food in the city..

Located right across the Hilton San Gabriel in a shopping plaza, this restaurant is always pretty busy, packed with many Asians. Sanitation at this restaurant is not the best ( B rating), but most chinese restaurants are B rated anyways. Sam Woo is not just serving Chinese BBQ (aka. char siu, roast duck, soy sauce chicken, etc.). It serves many... More
