Great spot for loud place to chill and eat

My boys and husband love it here. They get to watch sports on all the TVs, they can get loud and there are a few arcade games for kids. It's a sports restaurant! Their bread is killer good. I like the combo blue cheese and red cabbage salad. My husband likes the fried chicken and my sons the... read more

I think it's reasonable to preface this review with the fact that it was the last night of a 14 day vacation and the last restaurant of over 30 visited on the trip ..all of which prior to this , were very good in their own way . The North Woods inn is regrettably not great . I read some... More

Was recommended to us by a TA local expert. We were surprised when we arrived. A log house with artificial snow on the roof and artificial icicles hanging down? We had a great time. Atmosphere is fun, decor is rustic and lots of wood used makes always a comfy atmosphere. I had a steak skewer (juicy, tender, cooked to the... More

A wonderful dining experience, offering delicious food, great service, in a atmosphere reminiscent of the Pacific Northwest. The salad, steak, salmon, baked potato, rice pilaf, and cheese toast were delicious! A sundae for desert is an unbelievable treat. Overall, Highly Recommended!

We love this restaurant. We recommend the hamburger steak, blue cheese salad, cabbage salad and cheese bread. The atmosphere is like the North Woods around the Great Lakes. We love the decor. There is a reasonable kids menu.

We've been going to Northwoods for nearly 50 years, usually to celebrate a special occasion. We always have fun. It is a great restaurant to bring a family to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, etc. as the atmosphere is festive and fun. The food has been consistent over the many years we've visited. Our favorites are the mixed and red cabbage... More

I had not eaten at a Clearman's Northwoods inn, in several years. The food was how I remembered it, very good, and large portions. Peanuts and throw your shells on the floor. No room for desert. Went on a Saturday night, many large party s, but our waiter still was able to provide good service for our party of two.

This place is an institution and I have loved eating here since I was a kid 50 years ago. The menu is as it was back then with the unique and tasty salads, cheesy goodness cheese bread and flavorful steaks with the whipped cheese topped baked potato. Great ambiance and moderate price make this a must if you're in the... More
