Gordon James was highly recommended to us. We had a reservation, had to wait a long time. The drinks were so, so, and the lamb and the steak were overdone and we requested them medium rare. Would not go back as there are tons of great restaurants in San Clemente. more

Consisently good food, even if it some times comes with an attitude. Bar scene is also probably best in town. Fresh fish, great steaks, fun spirits. more

I've been to Gordon James 3 times. The first when they first opened several years ago and the service was horrible. Both times since have been fantastic. Prime rib, Steak & Lobster and most of all the wonderful tempura green beans! In fact, I've planned Christmas Eve dinner with the whole family for this year. more

One time was shortly after the birth of our daughter, and we were nervous to take her out -- but we were treated great by the Gordon James staff, who made special seating accomodations for our infant.
