Authentic Hawaiian Food

Great quality and portions. I have been here many times now and can make some suggestions based on my favorites and those of my family and friends. Though I assure you- you won't try anything and not like it. If with a group of 4 or more (or a meal for two) get the Hapa J's Man Fries, Friday... read more

Had a family dinner here with 9 kids under age 10 and we fit right in. I grew up in Hawaii and ate a lot of plate lunches, poke and Kalua pork. This was a sad imitation, I would call it Hawaiian inspired at best. Food was too salty and overwhelmed with sauces. So flavors were muddled at best. The... More

4 of us went there for dinner and drinks. The gravedigger drink was very good and a fair price. The Kalua pork nachos are HUGE, 4 of us loved them (pic attached). One of us got the garlic steak, sounded good but was just ok compared to everything else we ordered. Service was great, will return

This place needs to close before I have a heart attack or become an alcoholic because, clearly, I have no self-control. Kalua pig is one of my favorite styles of pork, and they pile it like a tractor dumped it on those amazing nachos. Plus, they swirl this sauce all over, just for that extra yum. I always eat at... Good people, great food. Try the Hawaiian nachos with kalua pig, it is a heap of food. Tasty and unique, and enough for a crowd. Good cold beer on tap.

This is a really cool Hawaiin restaurant in San Clemente. They have some great Poke and Hawaiin dishes. The best deal in the house is the Pork Nachos. For $13 you can feed a family of 4. Best of all they have ICE Cold Primo beer out of the tap. Only place in San Clemente (or even South Orange County)... More

I will preface this review by stating I've been here before (not on a Tuesday) and I had a blast, would have given it a 4*. However this review is all about the latest visit. Taco Tuesday - limited menu, tacos, nachos, tostatas, and one or two more items. $2.50 primo, and libre tequila specials. (Note: they do not serve... More

Family visit on taco Tuesday. Arrived about 5:30 and got a good table by the window. Not much to see, Ordered a round of really good margaritas made with fresh fruit. The composition varies depending on what's available, tonight tasted like strawberries and maybe mango. Very good. Taco Tuesday beer was a good deal, too. We ordered tacos, of course.... More

Visited on a quiet night and were seated immediately. Started with a mango rita...good, but expensive. Shared an appetizer and the Luau Plate. This was more than enough food for two. The pork is outstanding and paired with unusual but complimentary flavors. The atmosphere is spot on. Imagine parking might be an issue on a busy night 'tho.

Wow, dinner was a trip back to Hawaii. I ordered more fried rice with sausage and pineapple. The rice was the best texture too.
