Casual Italian fare and great for business lunches. Very competent service and fair pricing on the lunch salads, pastas, and pizzas. Sometimes I stop later in the day just for an espresso and people watching

My wife and I had dinner with 5 friends on Wednesday 29 April at Piacere. I reserved a table and requested a quiet spot so old friends could have a conversation and catch up on life’s events – Piacere complied with a quiet location that was perfect. As a starter I ordered the Spanish Sardines ($14) which were quite good,... More

all in high marks for this cafe's style, staff enthusiasm, and generally good food. Appetizer (calamari), nice light batter, slightly under done, a small, though well presented portion. The pizzas....definitely a weak spot. Crust, nicely thin, but rubbery. Too much moisture on veggie toppings. Substituted hot peppers, for roasted red pepper...we believed that would have been a sweet red pepper???again... More

I met up with some friends at Piacere for happy our to listen to some live music and enjoy cocktails and appetizers. This particular evening I choose to keep it basic with a glass of sav blanc and a crab cake type appetizer. Both the wine and the food were tasty and moderately priced (although not what I would call... More

Stopped in for a glass of wine and tried one of their pizzas. All was good. Service was polite and fast. The manager and owner were both there and very involved in the operation. The manager served my food and made sure I enjoyed it. Nice out door dining space. Parking is limited, but there is additional spaces around back.

Food loses out to the name of the restaurant. No matter how good the ambience of the restaurant, one comes for the food. Let's start off with what's good. The garlic bread and Olive oil they served was excellent. My wife had mussels but they were puny a little better than dried raisin size. I had Pasta Forno with Penne... More

Came here on a Friday evening. They had live music but was way too loud. Had a Caesar salad that consisted of 6 romaine leaves for $12 and a bad martini. Save your money and enjoy one of the many other fine restaurants in San Carlos.

My family stopped in here yesterday for an early dinner. After being promptly seated, we were disappointed. We had to be served off of the lunch menu as it was still too early for dinner. However, gluten-free options were very limited off the lunch menu (compared to the dinner menu), according to our server, who did not seem interested in... More

Perfect for a business or intimate dinner, great service, food, location, ambience... If only they could improve the restrooms it will be 100% perfect.

We've eaten at Piacere's before, but this was our first time for brunch. The menu was varied and interesting, and the food was very good. We sat outside, and enjoyed watching people and their dogs walk by. A very nice spot for brunch.
