In San Bruno for business. West Coast Café was recommended by the front desk at our hotel which is just a couple of blocks away. We found the café to be exactly as the other reviewers note. The food is excellent! And, the service is great, too. Very friendly staff - lots of smiles and appreciation for my party stopping... More

good: food! we had a chicken dish, lasagne and a daily special of lobster ravioli. very tasty- quite satisfied value: ok... not the cheapest place, but reasonable. nothing included with dinner- surprised us on the bill as we were asked 'what kind of salad' vs. 'would you like to add a salad' would return if in the area... so that... It's a small restaurant and the name doesn't sound Italian at all, but the food has always been good. I have never had anything there that I didn't like. Any pastas, fish is wonderful and I always have it just grilled, their West Coast Salad is great. It isn't cheap for lunch, dinner maybe ok, but when the food is... More

We were there on a Wednesday night and were surprised it was so busy. The service was a bit slow but the food was very good, especially the creamy mashed potatoes that came with most entrees. The special was a veal chop stuffed with gorgonzola cheese, which my friend said was delicious. I had the prawns in garlic wine sauce... More

Had early flight out the next morning so decided to stay near SFO. Very good food, very good service. Interesting menu and nightly specials. Nice atmosphere and décor. Bar limited to beer and wine only. Parking in public lot in the back. Definitely will remember it next time I am in the area.

We were taking a family member to SFO and were looking for a place to have early dinner on the way. Our party of 5 had a 5:15 p.m. reservation and arrived a little early expecting the restaurant to be empty. To our surprise, it was anything but! At least 6 tables were occupied, and that amounts to almost half... More

My wife and I were in town (San Bruno, CA) for a conference and we took a little walk the little around the town center and decided to try-out the West Coast Cafe. 1st surprise, based on the name we did not expect to find an Italian restaurant. 2nd surprise, I'm not generally a fan of Italian food, but in... We have come to this restaurant for special occasions, Confirmations for my daughter and son and our Anniversary . I had the Rabbit and my wife had the chicken piccata. The food was good but not excellent. The prices are moderate and the selection of the wines are minimal. But for Italian food, it is above and beyond other restaurants... More

Wow. We love Italian food and look for a great neighborhood place in every city we visit for business travel. West Coast Cafe is outstanding. Everything is good but my favorite is penne and fresh veggies sautéed with olive oil and garlic (agilo e olio). It's on the menu as spaghetti prima Vera so I just ask. The service is... More
