Incredible Mexican food. Authentic.

Great food and great service. We really enjoyed the story of the founding of Don Pico's and you can tell the family tradition and careful attention to the food prep is still alive after 40 years. For us, at lunch, it was a little expensive. But everything else was great.

We were staying nearby before catching a flight and decided to have an easy dinner near our hotel. We happened in Don Pico and were pleasantly surprised. This was not your typical taqueria with tacos and enchiladas. I had a wonderful huge bowl of chicken soup that was loaded with chicken and vegetables. My husband had the fish ceviche which... More

After a long flight, we walked in at lunch and were instantly welcomed by the bartender Angel. We sat at the bar, had divine top shelf margaritas. We heard about the history of the backbar, the paintings, and the original owners. Margaritas were spendy, but you get what you pay for.

Having just got off an 11 hour flight and arrived at the hotel next door, my son and I just wanted some food and drink prior to turning in for an flight out the next day. We kept it simple - a jug of Margarita, Steak Fajitas and Carnitas Yucatan (plus bowls of complimentary tortilla chips + salsa). I couldn't... More

Let's get real about this place. The Good: Service is fast and friendly, portions are large---one taco with rice and beans is adequate, funky atmosphere, $10 is reasonable for a taco, rice and beans. The Bad: I don't advise getting shredded pork, it was tough and overcooked, try chicken or ground beef, my wife's tostada had several pieces of undigestible... More

better than other places in the area, but definitley very ordinary, nothing special about it, the atmosphere is somehow fake, the food acceptable but nothing special, you can go if you happen to be hungry while on El Camino, but no point in getting out of your way

The marguerites are great and food is good. Good location. If music too. Loud there is a quieter room

Enjoyed the food but was very disappointed that they didn't have crab on Friday night. With no explanation, just sorry guys, no crab today.

I had dinner here as it was recommended by my hotel for authentic Mexican food. The food was good but the service was slow/poor. It was difficult to get anyone's attention and even after ordering more drinks they had to be reminded again before we eventually got them. Service was added automatically so they obviously weren't working for a tip.

Went here the other night with 2 work colleagues as it was highly recommended by 1 of them. Margarita was smooth and delicious, but took a bit of time to get (service was slow for us in general). Had the Ceviche as appetizer and it was very good. Pieces of fish were plentiful and quite big actually. I had the... More
