We've been coming here for years. After taking a family member around SF all afternoon, we decided to stop in around 8PM for dinner. The place was about half full. Plenty of empty tables. We headed for an empty booth. Seated probably 10 minutes and were never brought menus. My husband got up and picked up 3 for us to... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the Hotel Villa Montes. The food was plentiful and very nice. We ordered the enchiladas and fajitas but found it odd the fajitas did not come with the usual flour tortillas?!. Sat in the booth area and the restaurant is well decorated in the usual Mexican theme. Good service and very attentive.

Our hotel recommended Don Pico's for the food and margaritas. Food yes. Excellent dungeness crab enchiladas with verde sauce. D'Lish! I was disappointed with the Margarita. It was to limey and light on the tequila. You know when you have an excellent Margarita, it's hard to except anything else. I switched to the Modelo draft which was a great addition... More

Great selection of menu items. Good seafood. Large portions and great service. Mexican food is my jam, and this place is on the top of my list. Don't expect typical TexMex or Mexican fare, this is much much better.

location is a bit odd and the building not impressive, but that didn't matter much. inside was just fine, and the server very nice. 2 tap beers ran out while we were there, which limited choices. service was a tad on the slow side, and there weren't that many folks dining. food was very good- special was sea bass 'stuffed'... My husband & I stopped here tonight for our last dinner in California before we return to Albuquerque. I ordered the Dungeness crab enchiladas with butter squash sauce and my husband ordered the corn enchilada plate (they were out of the munudo). The portions are huge and we should have split the plate, but it was very good. The sangria... More

This place is next door to the San Bruno Super 8 motel, a great place to stay when arriving/leaving SFO. We were hungry and tired and it was Mother's Day, so service was a little slow, perhaps because there were lots of big families enjoying meals with moms. The salsa was great--chipotle and cilantro both could be detected in a... More

We ate here three times on our recent California holiday. Every meal was exceptional, especially the crab enchiladas and the carnitas. We eat frequently at Mexican restaurants. Don Pico's ranks with the best The staff must have paid attention to recent reviews as our service was great from three different servers. One waitress even remembered us and talked to us... More

We started going to Don Pico's for the Sunday Brunch, and have returned for dinner several times. My daughter and I both love the "Lucy's favorite burrito" with cripsy chorizo and two eggs over easy. My wife loves the Huevos Rancheros for breakfast, and the carnitas are great for a dinner meal. Bring an appetite, the servings are generous, and... More

Sometimes it is very hard to find an authentic Mexican restaurants, and Don Pico's is an exception to that. Don Pico's menu either had items, or the way they prepare their food, that one just doesn't generally find at Americanized Mexican restaurants. Case in point, the pork carnitas here was well prepared and served correctly ... not douse in some... More
