Marinitas features a menu inspired by dishes found throughout Mexico and Latin America using local and seasonal products. Through the collaboration of Heidi Krahling and Frank Villa, Marinitas delivers Latin focused lusciousness that is an exciting blend of the new and the familiar.
The wine list mainly draws from the expansive selections of the best wine makers from Argentina and Chile. Cocktails focus on the silver and gold liquors of Central and South America. The bar is dedicated to classic cocktail preparations including citrus juice squeezed to order, house made sweet and sour made from unrefined cane sugars, along with the highest quality mixers. Family, yet trendy and fun

It's a family restaurant that manages to retain some hip. Margaritas are great, and considering how crowded it is almost all the time, the service, excellent. The menu is trendy Mexican, but prices are reasonable. A very good choice for family dining in San Anselmo.

We visited Marinitas on the strength of other Trip Advisor reviewers. We were in the mood for Mexican food and so we found Marinitas. The chips and salsa are great. We shared the Tacos dorados de pollo and the daily special: Tinga which is braised pork, tomatillos, verdoglas, cumin, coriander and sweet corn polenta. Our server told us the staff... More

Great restaurant for mexican food that isn't the normal run of the mill. Lots of unique delicious options. Great kids menu with drink included. The adult beverages are amazing. Well worth the stop if you are passing through -

I make a point of eating here whenever I am in the Bay Area because the Mexican food is always fresh and authentic. And there are lots of TVs if you need a sports fix. They know how to make a good margarita, too.

Went on a Friday night with coworkers and friends. I was amazed at how well the staff took care of our large group. Service was outstanding. Glasses were never empty, chips and salsa never ran out. Everything prompt, polite and courteous. Food was very good, served fast and hot. Our table had a variety of meals, everyone loved their meal... More

This is definitely not a typical Mexican restaurant with typical tacos. Much more trendy with a big selection of tequilas, a menu that leans clearly in the direction of fusion cuisine while definitely staying with the general boundaries of Mexican food. Very fresh and seasonal ingredients, fun atmosphere with good energy without being deafening, its good for couples or groups.

So , to be true ...we walked out tonight. We have dined here a few times before & the food has been ok. Our server last time was great and she would have been the same one tonight. I'm here to tell you that kids running around (a lot) in the restaurant and SCREAMING while the parents drank , ate... More

Fun time sitting at the bar with friendly bartenders and enjoying an array of appetizers! Finished off with splitting the pork and polenta entrée: yummy!!! The place was hopping on a summer Saturday evening!! Perks to Heidi!

The bar at Marinitas is lively, the food is delicious and the service is always great. One of my favorite places to meet up with friends.
