It doesn't matter if theirs new owners or the same ones. The recipe is still the same. The person that has been cooking their she has been cooking their for eight years nothing has changed everything is still the same. The only changes that their has been is that they added steaks & lobster tails. The food is great and... More

I was in Salton City for work and had some time to kill before a meeting. I decided I would get a bite to eat and noticed that there are not a lot of places to eat in the area. I stopped for lunch and was greeted by a wonderful young man named Oscar. His service was "top notch" and... More

We stopped in for dinner, wanted to try one of my favorite dinners here, Chili Colorado. Well the restaurant has changed hands and evidently the new owners have also changed the recipe. Unfortunately, this was not for the better. The chili was watered down and the meat had lots of fat. Too bad, no reason to go back here. MY... More

A friend from Idaho who snowbirds 'at Salton Sea' recommended we give The Alamo a chance as it sits in the middle of a 90 mile stretch of State Route 86 with no eats except what you could grab at a convenience store. The Alamo is a family-run operation patronized mainly by locals and truckaderos making the trip up from... More

Had a nice lunch here on visit to Salton Sea. Cute little out of the way place with good food. Friendly service and atmosphere. Does have an outdoor eating area too.

The Alamo restaurant is a place we could easily have bypassed had I not read the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were so happy we stopped. The restaurant is a little local place with inside and outside dining, a very casual but warm and welcoming atmosphere, and wonderful food. My husband ordered a (huge) wet burrito with a beer and I... More

We visit the Salton Sea a few times every winter and there aren't a lot of places to eat out there. The Alamo has very good Mexican food. I have eaten there three times and each time I had great food. It isn't going to win any ambiance awards, but for the area you can't beat the food. Price is... More

When you're out in the middle of nowhere this place is quite the find. Seeing as if we were out visiting Salton sea I was looking for a restaurants and saw that this place had good reviews. It definitely lived up to its reputation. We went as a group of four and had burritos, taquitos and quesadillas. for $44 bucks... More
