Had a nice lunch here on visit to Salton Sea. Cute little out of the way place with good food. Friendly service and atmosphere. Does have an outdoor eating area too.

The Alamo restaurant is a place we could easily have bypassed had I not read the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were so happy we stopped. The restaurant is a little local place with inside and outside dining, a very casual but warm and welcoming atmosphere, and wonderful food. My husband ordered a (huge) wet burrito with a beer and I... More

We visit the Salton Sea a few times every winter and there aren't a lot of places to eat out there. The Alamo has very good Mexican food. I have eaten there three times and each time I had great food. It isn't going to win any ambiance awards, but for the area you can't beat the food. Price is... More

Unless you have a specific reason to go to Salton City, chances are you are a tourist and will zip by without even knowing you've passed one of the best Mexican food restaurants literally for miles around! Family-owned and operated seemingly long before the nearby "Dead Sea" got sick, The Alamo Restaurant in Salton City offers up some of the... More

Very good food with friendly and welcoming service. Five of us had lunch here yesterday at this small restaurant in Salton City after going to the Wildlife Refuge. Everything was terrific from the burrito to the chile relleno, enchilda, taco, taquito to the terrific albondigas soup. The soup is a very generous portion and clearly homemade as the broth was... I always feel welcome at this wonderful family owned and operated restaurant. I especially like the fish tacos, shrimp cocktail, ceviche and the incredible tamales. Everything is good.
