We were pleasantly surprised - didn't expect anything but a funky diner when we stopped here. Hamburgers were excellent, calzone delicious and service was personable and fun! Would come back if traveling this way again!

This restaurant was a real surprise. It looks like it is under new management and may be undergoing a name change, though currently the original Travertine Grill sign is still in place. I did not expect to find such a nicely appointed restaurant with such an extensive menu. The food was really delicious. Our group stopped here two days for... More

Just a quick heads up. The Travetine Grill is currently closed for the summer. Not sure when it will reopen.

The building is impressive both outside and inside, especially in a depressed and declining area like Salton City. They must do a fair amount of business as there is not much competition in the area. We ordered hamburgers and a Caesar salad. Both were very good, as was the service. The surroundings provided a pleasant atmosphere. Everything was great, until... More

Whenever I stop at this friendly oasis, I always get one of their delicious, scrumptious burgers. They are works of art---somebody should paint a still life of one of their burgers. The Bon Fire burger is HOT HOT HOT and not for the squeamish. Be sure to have a cold beer or a tall iced tea within reach to put... More

A great breakfast of ribeye steak and eggs for only $7.99 with very friendly service from Kim out in the middle of desert...some might say the middle of almost no where...an amazing value. Just happened to stop there for a spontaneous breakfast and really enjoyed this friendly little place right on our way to the wildflowers at Anza Borrego State... More

Ordered up take out from the Travertine Grill last night and enjoyed an awesome rack of baby backs with a little salad and mashed potatoes, yummy! Hubby had the roasted chicken dinner and said it was great. Must have been, he ate it all, rather quickly too I might add.

We were out off roading last weekend. This place is like an oasis in the desert. I had the Ortega burger and my wife had the avocado portabela cheddar burger, these burgers were so big, they had to put a steak knife thru it to hold it all together. yummy!!!!!

I started eating at the Travertine the second day they were open. It was good with quite a menu. Living in the middle of nowhere the resturant was what the residents needed. It has now changed owners and management a few time. The last time I went there the food was substandard and the typically slow service moved at a... More
