Ate at Chef Lee's today for first time in many years. I thought it was the best Chinese food in the area back then and today's lunch reaffirmed that belief. The Broccoli Beef was savory with crisp veggies and there was quite a bit of shrimp in the Shrimp Chow Mein. Served family style there... read more

Our family gather at chef Lee's in Salinas,Ca. for dinner after the high school graduation of my grandson. We made reservations, knowing how crowded Chef Lee's gets this time of the year. We were quickly greeted and seated with a big smile. Our tables were decorated and the seating was ample, not crowded together. We were a party of seventeen,... More

Their food is typical Americanized Chinese food that is served Family style to allow sharing. We had the Pork Fried Rice, Broccoli Beef and Shrimp Chow Mein. The food was average, nothing to shout about. The Broccoli Beef had the most flavor, the pork fried rice and Chow Mein was on the bland side. The hot tea that was served... More

Were regulars at chef Lee and highly recommend this place for a good lunch or dinner for the value. Staff is extremely helpful, the restaurant is clean and food awesome. Daisy and Gina are excellent attendants who get out of their way to make you feel at home. They receive you with a hot Jasmine tea and a courteous smile.... More

i had the Chicken with Crispy Rice entree. First things first; this was my initial taste of crispy rice and it was rockin good! The chicken was supported by mushrooms, snow peas, water chestnuts, and a sweet sauce that was mouth watering. The portion was big enough to fill up two hungry diners. Best of all was the price! We were pleasantly surprised at the yummy food and good service at Chef Lee's. Would definitely recommend it to our family and friends. The drunken noodle plate was scrumptious.

My husband and son helped me celebrate my Valentine's Day birthday at Chef Lee's One ofi favorito places this past weekend. We shared a family dinner with Sizzling Rice Soup and ordered an extra dish of Hong Kong style Noodles with seafood. Food and service were excellent as usual. We were able to our leftovers home for another meal at... More

I always order food to go from this restaurant and the food is ok. My last two experiences weren't the best and the last one was terrible. We arrived and got in what we believed to be the line to pay and when my boyfriend told them we were picking up and order we got a hand gesture to see... More

ot really good food. The sweet and sour chicken didn't have chicken and was mostly breading. The red color of the chicken dyed my fingers after picking up 2 pieces. The beef was the only good thing. The rice was plain calrose rice instead of jasmine rice. The portions are big but you don't even want to eat the left... More

Never been disappointed in this restaurant! First found it back in 2007 and have become a regular. Portions are generous and the service prompt. Excellent take-out availability also. They have a bone-in special fried chicken with hot red peppers that delights any guests we take there. I avoid the peppers themselves but enjoy the piquancy they add to the dish.... More
