I was seated right away and received excellent service. I chose the Grilled Artichoke, Slow Roasted Prime Rib, and the Salinas Valley Wedge Salad. Being new to the area I really wanted to try the Artichoke and was very pleased. My steak was cooked to order and the local vegetables were great. I... read more

We ate dinner there Sunday night. It is a really cool place with a lot of Salinas history! My grandparents are from Salinas so I could just imagine them eating there! The cool old style booths and all the memorabilia on the walls of Agricultural history in Salinas! The food was very good. My husband had the Rib Eye which... More

This restaurant is now called The Growers Pub. It has changed owners in recent years and unfortunately so has the quality of the restaurant. We've been there 3 times within the last 7 months and this most recent visit will be the last time. When it was originally The Pub, dinner would include a small relish tray which included, celery sticks,... The décor, or feel, of this restaurant reminds me of the old Brown Derby restaurant on Wilshire Blvd., in L.A. The high-back leather booths, the pictures of yesteryear on the walls, coupled with a very friendly staff, and of course, delicious food, is why I give The Growers Pub 5 stars. My wife took me here yesterday for Father’s Day.... More

The Pub is a wonderful place to go if you are looking for a mid evening dinner. They have a nice bar and are known for their steaks and Prime Rib. Two of us had steaks and the other Prime Rib. We all left very satisfied. The service was outstanding. The booth that we were assigned was a little uncomfortable... More

The atmosphere was great. Leans more towards "business class". Just a great place to have a beer and meal when in town in business

Sort of important to get the name right. Makes it harder to search when a review sight didn't do enough homework to confirm the true name. Even the link that is posted here takes you to the GROWERS PUB-not "THE PUB" although I realize in Salinas, it may be "THE pub.

I enjoyed a first-rate prime rib dinner, there, 2 days ago.....with baked potato....absolutely tender and delicious. Service was fast and courteous. My first visit, and, will definitely return next year when I will be staying in Salinas for the Monterey Jazz Festival.

Had the pork ribs, plus a beer, and still paid $30. The athmosphere is quite nice but nothing reallly to get excited about. I feel it's a bit overrated in Tripadvisor

Exploring your own backyard can hold fun times for frolicking and local flavor. Salinas you say? Well, I say so. I took a half day of vacation to travel to Salinas from San Jose, CA to attend the Salinas Pro Bull Riding event. The day however started out with a little fun shopping at the Boot Barn. Great store for... More
