"Approachable, dynamic, evocative and playful." The interior of The Restaurant showcases Meadowood’s natural, tranquil setting with rows of windows bringing the beautiful surroundings into full view. The Restaurant features a two hundred and twenty-five dollar prix fixe Chef’s Tasting Menu and a five hundred dollar Chef's Counter Menu. A tailored wine and spirits pairing experience is also available to accompany the menus. One has great expectations from Michelin 3-Stars where one pays 600 USD for two person meal. The Restaurant at the Meadowood did not really live upto our expectations. Even though service was very attentive, we did not find the dining experience extraordinarily special. I would agree with most of the critical notes. If you are staying in the resort, try... More

We loved staying at Meadowood and The Grill was great but dining here was not the experience we hoped for.It started with a wonderful perk here that they offer by having a driver pick us up at our room. The bad experience started with our walk inside the door.No one greeted us.There was a fireplace with people sitting around it to... I was prepared to be disappointed with the 10 course dining experience, but my wife and I were not. The tastes were outstanding, unique, and enjoyable. The best three hour dining enjoyment we have ever had. And the service was extraordinary. I did have the wine tasting with the meal for another $250, and although it was very expensive, it... More

We had dinner here in April, 2013. Every tasting menu restaurant I've gone to is a bit pretentious/ silly, this description certainly fits Meadwood. We were told they were so pleased we were going on a "culinary journey" with them and every course was described in tedious detail. During 1 course we were lent a copy of the chefs notes... More

Mom said that if you didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. So, for Mom's sake, I will say that The Restaurant is a serene minimalistic design which is quite comfortable. Another thing? OK, they clean the glassware and cutlery really well. So much for the nice things. It is impossible to convey how poorly conceived... More

I really wanted to love the Restaurant at Meadowood and was excited to eat there but was disappointed. I did the 3 course meal and then the restaurant provided some extras. The meal was uneven. There were some dishes that were fantastic and others that were just so-so. Sam the bartender was fantastic and made the experience more enjoyable. Do... More

My husband and I spent our 10th anniversary at this wonderful restaurant. The chef and staff made our evening a special event. We enjoyed the tasting menu. Each time the servers brought us more silverware, we were like children on Christmas morning anticipating what came next. The servers were attentive and friendly and completely focused on ensuring we had a... More

Nestled in old woods, comfortable contemporary elegance awaits you. Each element of this experience has been thoroughly considered...the texture of the tablecloth, the simple touchable pottery...feel this experience with all of your senses....the warm up of canape's was superb as we relaxed into our anniversary meal....the sommelier was a glance away to advise on our individual menu's upcoming courses. We... More

I made reservation 3 months ahead (that's the requirement) but was surprised to find it 3/4 full. The place is located on private property so the GPS gave us a run around making us 20 minutes late. If you don't show up they will charge you anyway! The food is avant garde, very interesting and artistically presented. I remember I... More

There are only 10 Michelin 3-star restaurants in the US - 7 in NYC (we've been to 2 of them) - 2 in CA (French Laundry and The Restaurant at Meadowood). I read the other reviews of the restaurant, and there are a few things I would say. First, I agree with NYFoodie8971 - don't go to French Laundry and... More
