Nice stop for lunch

We had planned on having dinner here but settle fur lunch since they are closed closed for dinner for the next few months. Disappointed but they let us know our reservation was being cancelled with plenty of time. Food and service were wonderful. We ate outside and the view of the vineyards made... read more

Made numerous calls over a 3 month period to book a party of 17 for a special event. Each time was told a "reservation concierge" would call within 24-48 hrs. Was told they had my request but to call back Aug 27 when CIA classes would be in session. Then I was finally told they were closed during the time... More

Made a booking weeks in advance and the restaurant decided to close for several months but didn't bother to let my group know. We were stuck in Napa on a Saturday night with no dinner reservation. Then they tried to apologize by offering $50 off my next booking, as if I'd ever attempt to go there again.

I made a reservation for a group of 10, ten weeks in advance of flying across the country to spend a week in Napa. On the day of our reservation I called to confirm only to be told that since the time I had booked, they decided to close the restaurant for dinner (lunch only). Even though they were even... More

We were actually pretty disappointed with the Greystone Restaurant. Service was slow (our server was also taking care of his mom and sister at a neighboring table, so they received most of his attention). Food was not overly impressive, especially not for the price. I was got sick after eating there even. I'd suggest saving your money.

When attending our son's graduation, we thought it was a "must" to come to the CIA's student run restaurant. Student servers were clearly learning the art of service in a fine dining establishment, but were very sweet and helpful. Appetizers got high marks on presentation and flavor. We selected very different main course meals, flavorful and nice presentation. It was... More

Our dining companions chose this restaurant based on a positive previous dining experience, but we were all disappointed this visit. The site is impressive, the dining room with an open kitchen is beautiful, we were seated promptly upon arrival, and our servers were friendly and helpful (one was a little over zealous). The staff are all culinary students who take... More

We dined on the terrace on a late summer evening watching the light fade over Napa Valley. As one would expect, the food was creative without being pretencious, flawlessly prepared and presented. Our server was well informed and helpful in selecting the menu and the wines. Though quite pricey, overall, the experience is worth it.

Initially, the attraction was just to get inside this imposing and exotic-looking building. This restaurant is in a pleasant if gothic room within the complex. Servers were young and earnest and competent. As for the food – excellent with only one small disappointment: the grilled Castroville artichoke appetizer was tough and not very flavorful. However, the entrees we ordered (duck... More

Love this place. Always wanted to come and try this restaurant. Definitely on the pricier side but casual at the same time (jeans are ok). All the staff are students. They take turns as far as being the chefs and being the servers so they learn what it is like in a restaurant. Our servers were very pleasant and attentive.... More
