We dined on the terrace on a late summer evening watching the light fade over Napa Valley. As one would expect, the food was creative without being pretencious, flawlessly prepared and presented. Our server was well informed and helpful in selecting the menu and the wines. Though quite pricey, overall, the experience is worth it.

Initially, the attraction was just to get inside this imposing and exotic-looking building. This restaurant is in a pleasant if gothic room within the complex. Servers were young and earnest and competent. As for the food – excellent with only one small disappointment: the grilled Castroville artichoke appetizer was tough and not very flavorful. Love this place. Always wanted to come and try this restaurant. Definitely on the pricier side but casual at the same time (jeans are ok). All the staff are students. They take turns as far as being the chefs and being the servers so they learn what it is like in a restaurant. Our servers were very pleasant and attentive.... More

Some friends recommended us the restaurant, and due to the fact that it belongs to the CIA we created a whole expectation of what we would get. For us it would be the highest spot in our trip to Napa. I mean, of course it was good, but it just didn't click. It didn't make us breathless... But still quality... More

We've been at Greystone multiple times and enjoy it every time. Great food, great service, and fun ambience. This time we had special dietary needs and they were able to accommodate all needs (dairy free, gluten free, and egg free) from appetizer to dessert. We will certainly be returning. Keep in mind that all staff are students practicing new skills.... More

It's all about learning and that extends to your experience. Your not the test subject for there learning curve, you are the focus. Top notch well crafted and always surprising. Make sure you have wine with your meal. Everything is crafted for your enjoyment. You will not be disappointed.

We didn't know it at the time, but we booked for the night before graduation. The atmosphere was fantastic, the students were there with their families running around and the restaurant was full and the menu was super. The student-prepared menu was really good. My starter had the best poached egg I ever had in my life by chef Marcello.... More

We had a delicious dinner here and it was fun to watch the students do their thing. All the food was wonderful and our server was attentive and helpful. A very well run teaching kitchen with a flair and fun.

First let me comment on the service. I realize that these are all students training to be chef, well I can tell you that the service is about as good as anywhere you can ever go. For tonight's meal we had 2 appetizers one of them was the smoked duck breast flavor was ridiculous. The other was a steelhead trout... More

Great dinner as usual in a great setting with lots of energy but quiet enough to fully enjoy your companions. Food as always is the best without being too complex or "foody" - some chefs seem like they just want to show off with their choice of ingredients. The wait staff are very well trained and can answer all your... More
