I went here for dinner with a group and we had a set menu. It was supposed to be a four course dinner with wines for each course. It turned out the first course was passed appetizers. The second was a small salad. They changed the third course without telling anyone. Desert was served without wine. I would never go... More

it was fun to see the energy of students working. food was good, reasonably priced for value, I would recommend going, though not as great as other places in the area.

My wife and I, along with our good friends, dined at Greystone Restaurant after a day of wine tasting in Napa. It was difficult to choose from the variety of entrees - and we all chose something different - but the food was excellent, beautifully presented and delicious. The students did an outstanding job preparing and serving the food, and... More

We have been looking forward to our dinner at the Culinary Institute of America's Greystone Restaurant. We were excited to see what one of the best cooking schools in the world could produce. Since March, the restaurant has been student-run and so we were expecting to see some creativity. We were very disappointed. First the good part. The atmosphere is... More

We had high hopes for a nice romantic evening. The atmosphere was perfect along with the food. They appeared to be overbooked that evening but they attempted to make us comfortable. They even gave both my wife and myself a glass of champagne because it was her birthday. However, the service left a lot to be desired. It just seemed... More

We have eaten a a few Institutes - we enjoy the experience of talking to the students who are learnig everything from cooking to managing the front of the house, bartending, serving, the back of the house, restaurant management, etc. Most are fairly nervous, but every student watches every other student---if one misses something, someone will appear and and take... This is our second visit to Greystone. This meal was different than the last and just as great. We made reservations, weeks ahead. Drop-ins had to be turned away due to no seats available, so make reservations. The wait staff doesn't miss an opportunity to serve. The food was prepare by graduates of the program, so they produced a very... More

Outstanding terrasse with a great view for sunny days. Great food with a reduced options menu. Excellent wine selection with a few local artisan beers. In general everything is good, the service in the table is acceptable, with minor details. Just when we arrived, we stayed for more than 5 minutes in the entrance, and nobody receive us, finally we... More
