Went for lunch. Staff were "all" very friendly. Servers. Bus help. Very reasonable prices for the area. Chicken Vegetable Soup was homemade, fresh and tasty. We both had the Chipotle Pesto Smoked Turkey Ciabatta. OUTSTANDING. When in St.Helena, get a great meal at a cheap price.

Very nice for breakfast. Large portions. Good food. Eggs just right. Tasty breads. Wonderful service. They were very busy, but the server made sure we had what we needed. When we delayed to talk she was most gracious in getting us out so others could enter. She did that extremely well: professionally, with a smile and a quip. Class act.

Great food, service and just a small town feel that is a nice welcome. We came here in June and had breakfast and couldn't wait to return. This is one of those places that every small town, on Main Street has. But, Gillwoods is better. Plus, this place took me back to my childhood, having breakfast out with my grandma.... More

What a treat and a great way to start the day. Great service, yummy food and reasonable prices. he most beautiful, perfectly cooked poached eggs. How do they do it???? The bacon was delicious, wished I had ordered more. I chose the roasted tomatoes which were yummy, especially with the eggs topping them. The prices were very reasonable for this... More

The best breakfast in Napa, and one of the best in the country! Fresh eggs, thick sliced bacon, light and fluffy Belgian waffles, fresh squeezed orange juice, and more! At a price you can't beat. And the portions are large enough to share.

Great French toast. We were seated right away. Shortly after sitting they asked to move over 1 table to seat a bigger party. We got 15% knocked off the bill and didn't even make one fuss about it.

On a recent trip to St. Helena, ate here twice. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. The breakfast was great! Had an omelet with mushrooms and spinach, home fries, and toast. Large portion and was unable to finish everything. The next day we had lunch here and I ordered a salad with chicken on it. It too, was good,... More

Enroute to my first wine stop of the day, looking to make a quick stop for breakfast, and I stumbled upon Gillwoods Cafe. Loved the coffee, had an egg sandwich that hit the spot, and great artwork on the walls by locals. The Cafe was busy but the service was still friendly and attentive. Nice to have a cozy breakfast... The menu said "fresh hollandaise" so I went for it. Bad move. I'm not sure what was covering my eggs but it was runny and nearly flavorless. My husband tried the huevos rancheros and was equally disappointed. Somewhere under the pile of beans was a tortilla but not much else. The server was too busy to be friendly so that... More
