Excellent dining experience from start to finish. If you are interested in trying multiple dishes or wines, the do half portions of most things on the menu.

Make sure to get the Mozzarella---it's amazing. The best spot is in the outdoor courtyard.. or if you are lucky, during an event. Request the table overlooking the courtyard from inside. Been here a couple times and have yet to be disappointed.

We've been coming to Tra Vigne since it opened in the '80s, back when Michael Chiarello was chef. It has always been consistent -- good Italian food in a drop-dead beautiful setting, whether in the high-ceilinged interior or the gorgeous patio. It's the place we always take visitors. Favorite dishes include the short ribs with polenta and the flatbread with... More

After a day of tasting some exceptional wines in the area, we headed to Tra Vigne for dinner. We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated almost immediately in a cozy seat near an open window overlooking the terrace. We brought a bottle of wine with us as there is no corkage for the first bottle. We shared the Frito... More

A lovely restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The server described some of his favorite dishes, making it difficult to choose. Everything was perfect and it was a real treat to be able to BYOB as long as it's wine from a local vineyard. If you didn't get that tough reservation in Yountville, I promise, you'll be happy here.

Do yourself a favor and order the fresh pulled mozzarella!! To die for! Great wine selection, not over-priced and great way to try the local wine! Also enjoyed the tuna pasta nero, and the asparagus ravioli. The ambiance out on the back patio was very romantic!

A restaurant with a great reputation like Tra Vigne should never rest on their laurels. We were looking forward to our experience for dinner on our first night in the Napa Valley region. We had a reservation for 7:30 on a Wednesday evening. We were seated outside on the patio area. It took a while for the wait staff to... More
