Bar Terra is undiscovered. Big mistake!!

Went with another couple last week. 4 meals all excellent. Nice room, gracious staff, good cocktails and wonderful food. It was fairly empty on a Saturday night. I can't understand why. It is not a fixed menu which I prefer, lots of choices. We had tagliate ( thin slices of steak), cooked... read more

Very quiet unassuming restaurant with excellent service. Terra offered a degustation menu but each guest chose their own dishes. Each person could choose 4,5 or 6 courses. There were 4 of us and each of us chose different dishes and different numbers of dishes which came to us in the correct order. The sommelier was very knowledge and personable. The... More

A bit off the beaten path in St. Helena but a very pleasant experience. 3 of us tried almost all of the offerings and had a great time sampling the menu. I'd definitely go back there when in the area.

Each of us had the four course tasting menu. Since there were many choices, we shared eight different dishes. Every one of the dishes was spot on--Copper River salmon sashimi, asparagus morel risotto, chuwan mushi, scallop and abalone, Alaskan cod with miso broth, black pepper panna cotta, and tiramisu.

Throughly enjoyed. Started with the lobster tortellini, followed by the blackened cod, the char coal grilled strip steak and finally the chocolate mess chocolate pudding. All courses were delicious. Great choice and menu. Would highly recommend. Thanks Terra for making our night so lovely

The food was outstanding and very well priced. $115 (?) for a very generous 6 course tasting menu was a steal. You can chose the 4, 5 or 6 course option and just indicate exactly what dished you want from the menu. Well prepared fresh ingredients in a great setting. Well worth the visit.

This was one of the best and most memorable meals I've had in my life. It was equivalent with places like Le Bernardin and other multiple Michelin star restaurants. The food was outstanding and unique. The ambiance was quiet and comfortable. The service was perfect, friendly but not watching over you. We even mentioned we liked the small abalone shells... More

My wife and I ate in the restaurant, a distinction, as it is for a 4 or 5 or 6 course meal. The bar area, which is very nice, has the old favorites "ala carte" menu we were told Some of our courses were Lobster Tortelloni, Black Cod, each had a risotto and they even had fresh summer truffles, Chawan... Took my wife for her b-day, a 4-course meal was $78. It's not too shabby for a michelin star rated place. Not to mention, portions were just right. Definitely try their Black Cod and Black Pepper Pan Cotta...but not the Chocolate Mess (TOO SWEET). Everything else on their menu was fantastic!
