near perfection

Perfect service, food, options, and venue. They offer tasting menus and the portions are extremely large for a tasting menu. Everything was delicious, flavors extremely elegant and sophisticated. My favorite meal in wine country.

And it was in an old stone house - felt very French. But it gets better - 4, 5 or X course tasting menu with a combination of Italian, Japanese and Mediterranean flair. Service, as expected, was awesome and probably the best and reasonable wine list we have seen in a high end restaurant with plenty if aged bottles (we... More

very unpleasant experience as we have booked a table for a birthday dinner and arrived 17 (sic !) minutes late. Now, I know, we should have been on time but we were informed bu fairly unpleasant and totally inflexible front of the house person that they have a 15 minutes window policy and we are 2 minutes past (120 seconds... This intimate California fusion restaurant has been around for many years housed in a lovely stone building. The chef owner and his wife who is in charge of pastry making offer a most intriguing menu that is divided into two sections, savory and sweet, with the choice of four, five or six courses. My companions chose four each of the... More

Went with another couple last week. 4 meals all excellent. Nice room, gracious staff, good cocktails and wonderful food. It was fairly empty on a Saturday night. I can't understand why. It is not a fixed menu which I prefer, lots of choices. We had tagliate ( thin slices of steak), cooked perfectly with a few potatoes and a small... More

Very quiet unassuming restaurant with excellent service. Terra offered a degustation menu but each guest chose their own dishes. Each person could choose 4,5 or 6 courses. There were 4 of us and each of us chose different dishes and different numbers of dishes which came to us in the correct order. The sommelier was very knowledge and personable. The... More

A bit off the beaten path in St. Helena but a very pleasant experience. 3 of us tried almost all of the offerings and had a great time sampling the menu. I'd definitely go back there when in the area.

Each of us had the four course tasting menu. Since there were many choices, we shared eight different dishes. Every one of the dishes was spot on--Copper River salmon sashimi, asparagus morel risotto, chuwan mushi, scallop and abalone, Alaskan cod with miso broth, black pepper panna cotta, and tiramisu.

Throughly enjoyed. Started with the lobster tortellini, followed by the blackened cod, the char coal grilled strip steak and finally the chocolate mess chocolate pudding. All courses were delicious. Great choice and menu. Would highly recommend. Thanks Terra for making our night so lovely
