The menu is arranged so that you can design your own meal. Making a choice was difficult. Do I begin with the cheese platter or the goat cheese tort with beets? Do I prefer an additional savory dish such as the abalone or do I prefer a wonderful dessert? The service was wonderful....our waitress patiently explained items on the menu... More

Service was fabulous and dinner was amazing. Great wine selection. Very small place but very nice. They don't rush you and allow you to sit and enjoy the time.

Lovely restaurant with a history. Great food, friendly service. Very interesting combination of traditional French cooking and Asian flavor.

Terra offers around 24 main dishes and 10 or more desserts and you do a prix fixe meal by choosing either a four, five or six course meal. You may choose any of the offerings on the list, even if it is four desserts. You can do wine pairings or not. Loved the food, and it is a fantastic visual... More

My wife and I went to Sonoma and Napa for our 2nd anniversary. We dined here on our first night and it was an exceptional start to our week. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. The interior is small, personal and well decorated. They have options of 4, 5 and 6 courses. We chose 6 as there are so many... More

We were there with a group of four. The restaurant side was set up as a wine cellar. It's a little ho-hum on the décor side. The food and service more than makes up for this. You can select to have a four, five, or six course meal. You make your own menu from a choice of about 15 items.... More

Food like you've never tasted before and delicious. This is a very special place. Small, intimate and absolutely delightful. The Japanese influence takes it to another height.

Had diner last week there. Very creative combination of american and Japanese cuisine. We took the four dish options which was plenty. The chawamushi was particularly well executed.

Similar to Chez Panisse Restaurant, which shares a building with a lower cost cafe of the same name, Terra Restaurant is across the hall from Bar Terra, which has a different menu and is a bit less rarified. We ate at the restaurant, and it was the best meal of our vacation so far, which has included other SF Bay... More

This is a restaurant I didn't know except from TripAdvisor, but when we told local people that we were eating there, they all raved about it. It was very impressive. Interior is a little dark, but the food and service is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.
