We popped in for a drink after a dinner in another place. It was recommended by the place we stayed at in St.Helena. It was a good choice. We looked for a nice tasting digestive and a nice atmosphere to chat before coming to he hotel. The barman downstairs asked all the right questions and prepared really nice cocktails to... More

Great reviews on Trip Advisor and it lived up to expectations. We stopped by for lunch on a whim and ate downstairs in the bar. Great food in a great atmosphere.

Had some drinks and small plates in the downstairs bar. Nice atmosphere. Pricey, but unique decor and setting. Seems less touristy than other places.

After a third day of touring wineries, we were "wined out." We sought non-wine cocktails before having dinner at Market (great btw). The concierge in our hotel recommended we visit the basement bar at Goose and Gander. Wow. What an amazing experience. The drink menu was outstanding and the bartenders genius drink makers. We also had a couple of snacks... More

We were looking for a place to have lunch outside and fortunately the folks at Orin Swift recommended Goose & Gander. It's kind of hidden on a side street, but well worth finding. Lots of outdoor seating, friendly helpful service and great food and drinks.

This is genuine US food and drinks at its best. The service was excellent and matched the food. The cocktails were interesting, well made and most of all tasted awesome! What a great place, inside or outside. The basement Chicago style speakeasy bar is not to be missed. Oh God I wish this was my "local".

The food is fine. The servers are attentive. We couldn't run out of wine. Our glasses were always full. The speakeasy type bar was very fun also. Try it out. you will not be disappointed.

From the very beginning, a disappointment. Very slow with cocktails. They arrived at the same time as main courses; always a sign of a manager unattuned to important details. Nonchalant attitude regarding delay. Main course delivered fine but there should have been something to offset cocktail inefficiency. Then, the cab. New level of displeasure with service. Made me want to... More

The food was outstanding-especially loved the onion rings and the strawberry short cake. Loved the backdrop and service was great.
