Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Great wine list. Gnocchi was phenomenal. Ribs were succulent. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere very low key, not pretentious at all. A must visit when in Napa.

Good hearty food. I ate the ribs. The server said they were the signature dish. I thought they were good, although I prefer 'fall of the bone' smoked style ribs.

I reviewed Farmstead in the fall and received a genuine response from the general manager. Happily I had a fantastic evening at the bar with friends the other night and fell in love with the meatballs. My fav is still the lamb sliders but the meatballs should not be missed. The bartender Tad took great care of us...thanks Farmstead for... More

We had cheddar biscuits for starter which were good southern styled and flavorful. We had the ribs and sole fish. Both were great with smoky ribs and fresh fish. Dessert was the lemon bar ice cream which was a lemon meringue pie mixed into vanilla ice cream. All were tasty. Recommend reservations.

For our money the best fried chicken in the valley. Huge portion, served with mashed potatoes and greens. Great service. Lots of good food and service.

My first visit here. Nice atmosphere and great food. We shared the warm beet salad.... it was out of this world. I had pork chops, very good but a little dry, one friend had the beef short ribs... best dish served and other friend had the hamburger. Burger was over cooked. If you like "pink in the middle" make sure... More

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed dining at Farmstead and are sorry to learn about the pork chop and burger, as we hold ourselves to high standards for food quality. At Farmstead, the food is so farm to table that most of it comes from Farmstead's own Long Meadow Ranch. Most of what they don't grow or raise themselves comes from other very local sources. The menu has something for everyone, and you can taste the freshness in every dish. The building is beautiful, rustic and comfortable. There are lovely... More

We had dinner here after a great day of wine tasting...Sherwin Family, Barnett, Peju... We were a party of 4 and were seated quickly on a Monday night (we were also seated near the bar where we could watch the Eagles beat the Panthers on Monday Night Football!). We had the meatloaf, the grilled pork chop and the St. Louis... More

We were staying in St Helena and we had a full day of wine tasting and were looking for something delicious to soak up some of the great wine we had been tasting. We walked into Farmstead because it was close to where we were staying. It was still early so we were told they were still serving lunch and... More

Ate here again last week and it didn't disappoint. Our server was excellent. Efficient, didn't hover, didn't clear our plates before everyone was through eating (pet peeve of mine) and the food was well prepared and tasty. It is nice to get a good meal, at a good value without being too fru-fru in the Napa Valley. My chicken was... More
