We recently moved away from St. Helena, and one of the things we miss the most is eating at Farmstead. They score very high for the neighborhood on price/value--just great food at very reasonable prices. Good assortment of small plates, good local wine list, great setting with the yard. And it is not hoity toity so you don't encounter some... More

The restaurant is located in a super cool old barn on Hwy 29 just at the south end of Saint Helena. Smoke from the grill (or smoker) lightly fills the air and sets a wonderful backdrop. The place smells fantastic like. Our waiter was knowledgeable and efficient without any fabricated personality. The menu is pretty straightforward and very good value.... More

We had a late lunch at Farmstead after visiting a few vineyards as this place came highly recommended by locals. We may have overdone it (not the biggest eaters) but wow - the food was amazing. Can't say enough about the beet and goat cheese salad. I had the gnocchi vegetarian presentation- so flavorful for a veg dish! My boyfriend... More

We stopped for a little something in between wineries. I don't usually eat a burger, but it sounded so good, hubby and I shared it and were not disappointed, nor did we leave hungry!

Great location, and very accommodating since we arrived earlier than our reservation. Food was great. Loved the cole slaw with the ribs. Brick chicken was very good as well.

Excellent place for a farm-to-table meal. The pulled pork sandwiches were out of this world. And don't forget to try the cheddar biscuits with honey butter!
