Just finished dinner at Elle's and the only word that comes to mind is "Wow!" Had the heirloom tomato salad which was perfectly flavored with a miso aioli, sunflower seeds, and a soft cheese. he two entrees we tried were the seared scallops with bacon lardo and the salmon. The scallops and salmon were perfectly cooked and the mix of... More

Anyone who lives in Sac and dines out knows this restaurant so the review will be for people passing through. It's worth going out if your way for. Randall Selland is my favorite chef in town because I like straightforward cooking. everything is high quality. Happy hour is great for sampling....try the fried chicken. Not sure if they still do... My husband and I had lunch at Ella for lobster month -- yum! We shared the lobster cobb salad and had every intention of getting the lobster and shrimp roll... until we saw the heirloom blt on the menu. Had to get and share that instead. Just delicious! The other super delish thing was a "buzz free" cocktail; I had... More

We have enjoyed several happy hours at Ella's . They are so known for their excellent food, but more importantly, their house-made tonic and drinks are extraordinary. You must visit!

Ella has never failed me. We went recently for my wife's birthday. The service was outstanding. I am always impressed when my children are treated well. The food great as well. I really enjoy the themes they have. The Lobster Thermidor from lobster month was great. Don't miss the desserts! We don't drink alcohol, but Ella has a very inventive... More

We went out for oysters during happy hour and had a lovely time! We sat on the patio and had a wonderful blueberry mojito. The oysters were amazing! So creamy and the perfect size! Will be back before lobster month is over.

We went to Ella for our 12th anniversary after hearing great reviews from friends. The place is an eclectic mix of local happy hour hipsters, older folks dressed to the 9s (on their way to the opera), event celebrators (like us) and families with birthdays, etc. In other words, anything goes. They sat us near the bar, which was initially... More
