This restaurant was in a good location by the hotel I was staying. It was within walking distance. The rib eye I ordered came hot and cooked to my likely. The serving was more than adequate. The restaurant had a full bar but limited beer selections. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I love their happy hour. Good selection at reasonable prices. Best calamari in Sacramento. Good drinks and not too rowdy on weeknights. If you are getting off a plane and are hungry you can stop on the way into town. It takes 10 minutes and is right off freeway at Del Paso Blvd.

I went on a Tuesday night and it was Taco night. This was an all night happy hour of special Patron drinks and tacos. The Carnitas were excellent and the fresh lime margaritas were some of the best I've had. I come to the area on business several times a year and will be bringing clients here next time as... More

Very disappointed! Tasted frozen fish (battered fish and chips). The enchilada was so hard it couldn't be cut with a knife - frozen and over microwaved. Brought another since the first wasn't editable, softer but still required sawing with a knife!

Looks like a typical bar/grill, especially when you come in and are surrounded by TVs blaring out various sports events and an active bar scene. You need to be willing to put up with the usual noise expected at a sports bar. However, they make a good effort at cooking, and we got much better food than the norm for... More

The food at Malabar is delicious! From the burgers to the salads to the sea food, I have yet to get something I haven't liked. Not sure if this is still on the menu, but if you like chile rellenos, you have to try the chile relleno burger (definitely not a calorie counter)! Malibar has a sports bar feel to... More

The fare was very average. Nothing special. The service was good. The selection of wine and beer was below average.

Ate at the recommendation of a friend. Service was fast and friendly. Marinated skirt steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. Chicken enchilada and chili relleno dish was well cooked and had good flavor. The cilantro basmati rice was excellent!

When traveling for business it's always a good idea to take time for yourself. Stopping at a good bar and having an excellent dinner is always smart. That's what I did at the Malabar, as always.
