great food, great venue

sweet intimate and rowdy urbane style venue....consistently well put together menu, great fois gras, good wine choices, service with a smile and some expertise to boot......would go there every time I am in Sac. Portions somewhat squiggy, but par for the course

We went for dinner and luckily, got there early (6 pm). Location is in a red brick building - a bit hard to find, but beer choices were good, NO oysters!!, but they did have caviar. Can't remember the name of the caviar -$10/spoon and it was just ok. We had a truffle pasta that was delish but when we... More

A huge platter sized breaded pork chop was fabulous. Good starters too. I especially like the ethic of the whole place, local, sustainable and fair. Remarkably good tomato salad too. The tomatoes were perfect with warm (yes warm) mozzarella.

This is the kind of high-quality restaurant, with great ambience, that you'd expect to find in San Francisco. The food, service and atmosphere are all top-of-the-line.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant since I moved to Midtown in February. Lots of people list is among their favorites. I chose to try it for my birthday and my adult children accompanied me. evis had the steak, Marcos the duck, and Sarah and I had the porkchop. Sarah and I couldn't eat all of the porkchop--too... If you are lucky and/ or live long, good life, you just may be fortunate enough to experience a restaurant like Mulvaney's. Pure happenstance guided my wife and I to this converted firehouse in downtown Sacramento. We have traveled the world and eaten at some of the best restaurants; and what this jewel shares with other wonderful restaurants is that... More

Great neighborhood spot located in old Firehouse, formerly Building & Loan building. Good bartender "Dan", waitress in semi funky white tablecloth, yet fine dining atmosphere.

The ambience is great! Inside is a bit busy and noisy, but it is still a lot of fun. We sat outside under the beautiful trees on the large patio area. It is a little quieter outside, maybe even a bit more romantic. The staff/service were excellent. They stayed on top of everything including keeping our water glasses topped off.... More

I have had the pleasure of dining at Mulvaney's dozens of times and they have met or exceeded my expectations every time. The food is delicious, the service impeccable. Don't miss out on this farm to fork Sacramento gem!
