Wonderful spot to gather with friends for wonderful food and delicious drink! Cozy, inviting atmosphere and the best staff ever, who go the extra mile to make you feel at home and appreciated! Thank you, especially, to Tina. Danny and Patrick for all you do!

A special Valentine's Day dinner with my darling. I had only been to this restaurant once prior. But this experience was outstanding in every aspect. 1st of all the vibe is beautiful the building is beautiful but it was our server, Eric, and his assistant,...Robert, that elevated it to the highest level. They were attentive, professional, and outstanding in every way. And of course the dinner was marvelous by all standards. You can expect to pay, but it is absolutely worth it.More

This is a converted fire station. Cool decor. The menu changes all the time which is great as you get what is in season and fresh ingredients. I had the biggest pork chop I’ve ever had, it was so big I couldn’t finish it all!...Staff were really friendly. We had some lovely wine from California. Lovely evening.More

I had great expectations for this restaurant based in its reputation. I made reservations for two and was given a cramped seating in a corner. The acoustics in this building were horrible. A party of 14 seated nearby were loud and obnoxious. The menu as...presented was promising but as I am now suffering with late stomach cramps I’d say the food is less than fresh or quality. I also believe that this restaurant is way overpriced. The service was excellent.More

Both the service and the food were outstanding. Our server, Ryan, took very great care of us and even laughed with us. Now, let’s talk about the food. We did the small plates and walked away feeling full and happy. This was a happy circumstance...to stop in here. I highly recommend this place for a unique experience.More

Superb food and a fantastic experience! Just a regular Thursday, me flying in from a conference, my husband picking me up, "let's have dinner" kind of night. Devon, our server, immediately grasped our willingness to have an adventure. We split appetizers, soup course, primi piatti...and entree, with Devon providing excellent wine pairings. He's bold, be prepared to have the obvious choices overruled in favor of something truly off the beaten path but EXCELLENTLY done. An initial amuse bouche and a final pastry bit were very nice touches. You do not have to have a big plan for a meal here to become special, all the staff seemed so enthused about providing a top notch evening.More

Great food and service. Went there with my brother to have dinner. SJ, our waitress, was great . She was very friendly and very knowledgeable. She helped us with selections and then with wine. Our cheese tray was great. Then we had a pasta and...pork small plate which was excellent. Followed by halibut and macadamia nuts. Everything was great. The food was great. The service was great and the environment was great. Go here when you can.More

Booked dinner for three. Got lucky a private room. Pork chop fabulous. Best in the city. Smoked salmon was exceptional. Good service. Parked a few blocks away. But food was best I’ve had in Sacramento

What a fun evening! Our server (unfortunately I don't recall her name) had a great sense of humor and was fun to talk with. She also recommended perfect wines for all of us. My cousin had the Pappardelle with a dinner salad, my husband had...the Osso Buco Tortellini, and I had the Castle Frank salad with chicken added. Delicious meals! Before dinner, we shared a salmon appetizer plate with egg, red onion, capers and small wheat breads and it was delicious as well. We hadn't been here in a couple years, but we would highly recommend it for a special evening, and we will be back!!More

On December 27, 2019, we had a super dinner and drinks in one of the private rooms at Mulvaney's. The food was really excellent and the service very attentive. It was nice to have the quietness of the private room which allowed us to really...talk and laugh without being drowned by volume.More

The food is very good and not that expensive for what you get. There are not many things on the menus, but the selection is definitely sufficient. The service is very attentive, and the atmosphere lively but not too loud. Highly recommended. Let them know...if it is a special occasion, and they will honor it (subtly).More

We went for our 45th anniversary and, to start, they had printed "Happy 45th" on our menus. Then the bartender made us complementary "mocktails", since we are non-drinkers. The service was top notch and the meals (including dessert and decaf coffee) were OUTSTANDING. It was,...honestly, in the top 5 restaurant meals we have ever had. Our waitress, Sarah Jean, was great - knowledgable, has a great sense of humor, and gave very good suggestions.More

We attended a private event where all present were able to take part in the preparing of the multi-course meal. The prime rib roast was expertly cooked on an outdoor grill by the superb chef! All of the sides and desserts were prepared by those...present. There were 25 of us, but the prepping areas didn't seem crowded. It was the most fun I have ever had at a restaurant! The food prepped by the attendees were guided by the chef and his wife. They are the most laid back, wonderful people. They didn't even comment on how a little-less-than-perfectly we prepared everything. :) They were great hosts and calmly and effectively moved from station to station advising on how to do the next steps. Everything came together perfectly; all the food was wonderful. Everything was locally sourced and tasted so fresh and delicious. If you ever get a chance to attend an event like this at B&L - go for it!!!! Thank you to the chef and his wife. Great job!More

I really don't know. I suggest you call them and ask. Their phone number is (916) 441-6022. A gift card to Mulvaney's would be a great gift. Phil

Restaurant even at lunch is pretty fancy. Nice slacks, shirt, even sports jacket for men. Women, nice pants, top, nice skirts, dtesses. Jeans, tank tops, flannel shirts would be way out ofplace here.
