I came for the foie gras. They didn't fail me. We also had beef cheeks with quail egg and pinto beans. I was so intrigued by it that I ordered it. My 13 yr old son and I enjoyed it . Very tender and tasty. The steak was grilled just right. I would have preferred it with something green ,... More

If you use the google maps app on your phone, it looks like you are walking back and forth and keep passing it, and can't tell where it is. Mulvaney's is in a red brick building that does not look like a restaurant. Arugula salad - great, but a little tough. Foie gras with toast - excellent! They began serving... More

Read plenty of great reviews... Ordered endive salad and the pork chop dish. Pork was under cooked and so tough I was not able to cut it with the knife! Chewing it was nearly impossible! We all have a bad day, I will give it another shot!

Amazed by the great food we have been back many times. Good for meat eaters and there is always a vegetarian option. If you have a special wish or dietary need, Chef will help you out. Go early for a drink at the bar with the zany bar tenders.

Nestled in a former firehouse, Mulvaney's is an intimate restaurant with some knockout food. The menu changes daily, making for some inventive and fresh food. Service was knowledgeable and responsive. The interior is dim and intimate, with a good view of the open kitchen. I highly recommend Mulvaney's.

We have been at most of the interesting restaurants in Sacramento but for some reason had not tried Mulvaney's B&L. We dropped in a couple of weeks ago and luckily got a tall table in the bar. Drinks and food were absolutely excellent; service was great, friendly and not pretentious. The indoor space is nice and cosey. We didn't explore... More

My wife and I ate at Mulvaney's in September for my wife's birthday and again in November because we liked it so much the first time. In September, my wife's menu said "Happy Birthday (her name") at the top. Both meals were outstanding and the service was attentive without rushing you at all. Except for the pork chop and steak... Recently took friends here for a special dinner. Our guests both had fish dishes, cooked as requested (kudos to the kitchen for listening, and our waiter for asking in the first place). The duck was perfectly cooked as well. Had a difficult time deciding on main courses since every entree sounded so good. Dessert was equally noteworthy. Style is French... More

I had my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner here. WE were a large group and the servers and management were great. They couldn't do enough for us. The dinner was served "family style". There was more food than everyone could possible eat. The pasta was perfectly done and spiced. The fish was perfect, cooked through, moist and very tasty. The meat... More

We booked a table for two to celebrate our 14th anniversary on a Friday night. It was our second time to the restaurant, the first was a great evening with friends so we were looking forward to a special night. They did not disappoint. While waiting in the very small bar area for our table, Patrick came by with a... More
