Very good food

Very good food and some of the best service around. The place was very neat too and they have a menu with some rare items on it. .

We were told about Mulvaney's by some friends and we are so happy we went. It's a very small location, but it is incredibly fun. We sat at the tiny bar and enjoyed talking with the bartender and those sitting around us. After ordering our meals they brought us a free dessert and even a bite of some soup they... More

I had my 40th birthday there shortly before the restaurant officially opened 10 years ago. Owners Patrick and Bobbin Mulvaney are wonderful people and assets to the Sacramento community. This in addition to making wonderful food that I would everyday if I could! They drove the Farm to Fork early on and clearly it's paid dividends for putting Sacramento on... More

Mulvaney's has consistently been one of the best destinations for us for date night and family celebrations. Last night's meal served at the old bar was no exception. Their lovely hidden garden patio was full so we made the best of it and had a great time with the bar keep who made our experience that much better, providing perfect... More

Atmosphere has a buzz but not too loud. Service was very good. We did a selection of the small plates and appetizers which gave us a good range of flavours. Cheeze plate had a great selection. Wish the bread came with that without asking because the crisp crackers seemed a little thin for the ultimate flavour. Desert was delicious Would... More

My family came here on a long weekend trip to Sac, based on tripadvisor reviews, and its proximity to our B&B. The menu is short, varied, and excellent. Portions are not too big, not too small, just right. Everything tasted great! We highly recommend this restaurant.

The once-a-month family dinner event is a treat to savor. The staff served yummy appetizers from 6 until 7 PM. Each one was different and delicious. The dinner this month had a tomato theme. The 1st course was organic beefsteak tomato slices with the best mozzarella I've ever tasted and sprinkled with basil leaves. Course 2 was a garlicky corn-filled... More

This might be the best dining experience currently available in Sacramento. Impeccable service. Fantastic selection of wines and wine by the glass. Menu changes daily.

Visiting Sacramento for the first time, I was introduced to Mulvaney's yesterday for a business lunch and was so impressed that I came back today with a dinner date, and Mulvaney's didn't disappoint. Top notch food and service.

We've eaten here several times and it has always been one of our favorite restaurants anywhere--certainly among the very best in Sacramento. The owner, Patrick Mulvaney, is always there, cruising the floor, delivering for his wait staff, checking that everything is what it should be. He is one of the leaders of 'farm to fork' local sourcing of excellent ingredients... More
