Brookside has good food for a good price. I have visited at least once a month for the past year. I'll enjoy it enough to continue coming back for another year.

While the food and service are very good at Brookside Restaurant I primarily hold my committee meeting here for the private room they set up for us. Away from the other diners we are able to conduct our meeting without being disturbed and us disturbing other clients.

Was here a few weeks ago when they had a live band playing outside called "3!". So much fun! Great music, good crowd and food. Liked the appetizers and the chicken club sandwich. The service was good considering how busy they were. There were not enough chairs for outside seating when band was playing; some folks were standing at bar... More

Situated along California's first railroad, the building housing the Brookside Restaurant was originally constructed by Sacramento's Silva family as a guest house for the American River Winery in 1911. The setting is beautiful; you feel as though you are somewhere in the wine country. Inside and outside seating. For lunch, my husband ordered the Teriyaki Burger which came with a... More

We were asked if we would like to sit inside or outside and since inside was full of people enjoying Happy Hour we sat outside. After placing our order we began to think that our server had forgotten us but she came by after about 25 minutes to say our order was next up. When our food finally arrived sometime... More

We have visited Brookside only for Happy Hour a few times over the past year because we want to keep local businesses in business. But everytime we've gone to Brookside's Happy Hour, it's like we're invisible - it takes forever to get service, and when we do it takes forever to actually get our orders. We keep going hoping that... More

The location used to be a Winery and its got a very nice serene external atmosphere with plenty of parking and trees. I've been to the bar area a couple of times with work friends. The lady who works at the bar is very attentive and very customer focused. The happy hour is really good along with the food as... More

Restaurant is now called Brookside. Had a spinach salad that was swimming in what seemed like a couple of quarts of dressing. Sent it back & received a new salad (w/soup bowl of dressing on the side). Discovered that the dressing had been hiding the chunks of slimy spinach. Yuck. Tried to wash the taste away with the weakest vodka... More

Very warm & charming. Good food, fair pricing, great service. I had the prime rib, this time, and a wonderful burger last time. I will take a mom & pop place before a chain anytime. In the words of the Governator, "I'll Be Back".

This place was great, it really does have a cheers feel to it. The English food was nice but the Burgers were great and I loved the Ribs! There's a good selection of beer but these people can pour a drink! Every mixed drink is like a double, INCLUDING THE TOP SHELF STUFF!
