One of only a few restaurants open on July 4, my family came here based on tripadvisor. Everybody enjoyed their meal. Would recommend.

I've had mole in Puebla, MX, where mole comes from--Zocalo isn't lying on their menu where they say they learned their recipe there. It's my favorite thing to order there--and I've enjoyed everything else I've tried there, too! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento.

This is a very hip feeling Mexican restaurant in Sacramento. The food was quite good, but I like Mayahuel over it by a little. Still it is worth going to for a good meal anytime.

Being from Texas I was unsure about Mexican food in California. However, Zocalo was a true surprise. The food had amazing flavor and the restaurant was very nice. Try the grilled steak, it's perfection. The cilantro rice and black beans topped off the meal. Oh, and the chips and salsa was divine.

My colleagues and I bought food to go for a group of clients. The restaurant is very beautiful and elegant and has a nice big bar in the middle. The green cilantro rice was delicious! Very flavorful and not oily. I also tried a pork taco with a Blueish tortilla and it was good. I normally don't enjoy food to... More

When visiting in Sacramento Zocalo is one of my favorite choices for patio dining with a Mexican twist. From the smokey sauces presented with chips prior to ordering, to the sultry flavors and the range of unique dishes, I always find something new to love about Zocalo. The decor is fabulous and I captured a few images on my blog... More

Mexican restaurant with good food. An older building with some class and style. Service was nice. Snack on their chips and dips while waiting for your order.

Always busy and a boisterous crowd inside. Service was slow, but friendly waitstaff. Food was good and we hit happy hour just at the right time!

I have been wanted to try Zocalo for years. Finally we went their with the family and friends for my daughter's hs graduation. She had been there previously with friends and loved it. The food was fantastic. En Mole, El Burrito, Salmon, Chile Relleno, Americanos, were all great. Service was good and probably our only complaint was the noise level.... More
