It's in an odd location but this place was really great. They have a set menu that changes monthly so definitely take a look at their menu before making a reservation to ensure that you will enjoy everything. The chefs were charismatic and passionate about the food they were creating. It is quite an experience.

I still don't know why The Kitchen hasn't earned a Michelin Star; maybe it's because it's in Sacramento, which isn't known for great restaurants (even though we have many). This was my second time here, the first was 15 years ago and I walked away saying it was the best meal and experience I've ever had. This time around, since... More

Dining at the Kitchen is a full night of entertainment. Reservations are a must and before you go you will be contacted personally by the restaurant to find out if you have any questions or special dietary issues. There is one sitting a night, the whole crowd is in it together. You get a 7 course dinner, prepared right in... More

My sister (who lives in the Sacramento area) had been telling me about this place for a few years -- and I would nod and say, "that's nice" (because I live in Los Angeles so I'm kind of a snob). Our parents just attained their 60th wedding anniversary, and we decided to hold the family celebration at The Kitchen. All... More

So hard to judge a review, eh? One persons 5 is another's 3.... Ive been to half of the top 10 restaurants in the world, I guess depending on the list and who is writing it... It is not in my personal top 10 meals, but there is a lot of amazing completion out there. Top 2 in the Sacramento... More

Superb service, excellent food, sweet ambience, what's not to like? Wine parings enhance the meal greatly but are not necessary. My husband had Canadian whiskey and survived just fine. The intermission with tables located on the patio as well as inside make it easy to eat more, fresh seafood, between the main courses if you want...of course we wanted... It's... More

This is one of the ultimate dining experiences in Sacramento. From the minute you walk in the door until the moment you leave the staff pampers with great food, awesome drinks, great theater, and a bevy of knowledge regarding all the ingredients and drinks being served.
