If you want really quality Italian food, this is the place. We have traveled extensively in Italy and this place is the real deal.

Mark your calendars, then make your reservations: Third Sunday of the month is Lucca Movie Night. What you get: a three course themed dinner that draws its inspiration from the great cult classics like Goodfellas and Office Space. What you pay: $25.00 Can't beat it. Personalized service throughout the show - all very unobtrusive. Alcoholic beverages are not included. The... More

One of the best places to eat in Mid-town Sacramento. Come early for Happy Hour before your dinner reservation. Parmesan Fries & Parmesan and Ricotta Salata Flatbread are great starters. Partial to Wild Arugula Salad and the Roasted Beets salad choices. Favorite main dishes are the Ricotta Gnocchi Bolognese (delicious!), Pappardelle, and the Spicy Penne. Really can't go wrong with... I can always count on Lucca to deliver a quality meal. I have been going here for years, and yes, sometimes they can get a little overwhelmed with the crowds, but their food never disappoints. Sunday was no exception. Our brunch experience was a first. (I am a die hard happy hour and dinner patron) The Bloody Mary was on... More

Risotto was good but not excellent. Our service was good, nice wine list, medium prices. The look of the place (in the rear seating area) was very pleasant.

Hubby had been here and raved about it, so we tried it recently on a week night. Three stars not for the quality of the food, but for the service. The waiter was OMG loud and he was trying so hard it was annoying. We had our big boy pants on that night and we can read and write and... More

It was Saturday night, so expect it to be crowded. They have a wonderful bar staff making fantastic drinks, the salads were great, really fresh and tasty. Portions were good size. The pasta was good but the salmon on mashed potatoes was to die for. It was cooked to perfection. Prices were right in line with expectations. Will return next... More

Fun for happy hour. Yummy small plates and great service. The main dining area is attractive but with the brick walls can get noisy when crowded. If this is an issue move into their attractive vine covered patio.

This place raises it's own beef that they serve in some very mighty fine dishes. Always high quality ingredients, reasonable prices, good wine list, tasty food, good service. For real value, go for happy hour!

My sin picked this place and he did an excellent job. They have valet parking but I parked in lot right next to the building. The place is dark and relaxing and we walked passed the kitchen. I recommend the truffle fries as appetizer. The salad was crisp and a great combo of fruit ( strawberries ) and a cheese... More
