My wife and I found this place through a little online research. With no kids with us on this trip, we decided to gamble on an unknown breakfast place on a Sunday morning. It looked a little sketchy walking up to the front and the inside seemed a little better, but still didn't convince us we made a good choice.... More

Got 2 breakfast burritos to go and they are enormous! Great price and very tasty!! Took 15 minutes but worth the wait! Cost 16 bucks which was cheap to us! Came with fruit, sour cream and salsa. Also had bacon and sausage! Very tasty!!

My husband and I were visiting his brother in Sacramento. The morning we took off they said that they were going to take us to breakfast. When we drove up I was maybe a little nervous, but they said they go here all the time and love it. I had pancakes, ham and eggs. Some of the BEST pancakes I... More

... at the variety of the menu. My favorite is the Veggie Crunch which the owner invented some years ago he says. I think my wife invented it during our "hippie" years, but it doesn't matter it is yummy good. Have been going here for a long time, it is part of our North Sac scene. Try it you will... More

This place is not on the beaten path. In fact it's not on any path you might choose to follow. But the food is really a find. I just had the best tuna melt I have ever eaten anywhere, bar none. The menu shows creative touches in the specials; the standbys are well-executed standbys. The service is really good. The... More

We stopped in for a quick breakfast. The veggie omelet was the best I have ever had. Maybe a bit too much cheese but the roasted tomatoes on top were wonderful! Unfortunately,

If you saw Uptown Cafe driving down the street, you would probably avoid it. But don't! This is truly a gem, hidden away in a terrible neighborhood, on a lousy street, but with some of the best tasting, hearty meals you you can find, for a decent price! George, his family, and his staff make you feel like you are... More

At first glance this is a "dive".... it is a mixture of old furniture and carpet with some updated features--lights, plants, nicknacks etc. We love and appreciate this type of place as it feels "real" and is not a corporate clone, (chain restaurant). It is in an old building with a wonderful mural on the outside wall of a theater... More

This is a really great breakfast. Crab Benedict. Regular bacon and eggs neither under-nor over cooked. Pancakes. What's not to like? This place is typical funk, uneven floors, posters on the walls. Its great. It reminds me of Juanita's Galley in Sausalito, where I worked in the 60's. The patio is cool and pleasant with palm trees and plants in... More

This dump has the worst breakfast in sacramento. The food is greasy and disgusting. Dennys makes a better breakfast without attitude from the servers. There is nothing worth ordering on the menu especially the eggs benedict which are supposed to be their specialty but are really just a sloppy mess of grease. Avoid this dump at all costs!
