Not Absolutly Sure

Stopped on our way South for the Winter and returned to this facility after several years. Steep incline to entire, a challenge for 80 year olds. Martini was a little thin but help was friendly. Out of some menu items.

I took my cousin here for brunch on her 60th birthday. If you can walk up and down the long plank with the Sacramento River as low as it is you know you're still young and strong. (Walking up after a couple of drinks is a great core strength test too:) but seriously this river stop is a must. Our... More

Food is good considering tiny size of kitchen. Great tamales with mole sauce and fried rice with eggs for brunch. Dinner specials, cioppino and prime rib during week nights.

This river restaurant is so unique. It is not a chain has great character and great food. One of my favorites. The entrance is an old Pan Am jet way from SFO ( wish it could talk) which takes you to a barge. The glasses slide depending on how high the river is. The service is warm and personable (esp.... There is a good view of the River at the VS and dinner and drinks are decent. I've been here just for drinks as well as eating with business associates. Interesting to watch the boat traffic. It's kind of old and run-down though, and has obviously been here a long, long time. The atmosphere is pretty good and a change... More

Great, fresh sea food at reasonable prices. We been coming here for over 20 years, because they know what they're doing. And, not just because they are right on the water. The wine list is fine with enough options at lower prices than most places are charging these days. The service is always good and friendly. The food never disappoints.... More

The place sits on the water and goes up and down depending on water levels. A long tunnel gets you in or out the front door; that can be very steep or level depending again on water level. Once there get a table inside or out, then watch boats and stuff go by while you enjoy your eats. Friendly Folks.... More

You should know that they don't serve Breakfast until twelve thirty. In my opinion, that's absurd... But oh well. So even though we went for lunch we ended up having brunch. It was good. Not the best brunch I've ever had but it was still delish. Super casual. I liked that it was on the river, but there is another... More

The restaurant actually floats on the river. There is very limited parking. But we were shocked by the quality of our food, it was excellent! The service was top shelf, more than we expected. I would recomend this local establishment to anybody. Be careful on the walkway down the steep walkway from the parking area.

The Virgin Stergeon has been a Sacramento fixture for a long time. The food is good, not great, but the real reason it should not be missed is the ambiance of a floating restaurant and the view of the River and the passing boats. It's a great place to meet friends, have a drink, and/ an appetizer.
