I had been passing Café Rolle in Sacramento for sometime. I finally visited there for a dinner one evening and was quite surprised that the prices were very reasonable and the food was simple but absolutely delicious. I had a salad with salmon. The salmon was fresh and quite a large piece and the price was approximately $11.00. The dressing... More

We have eaten here several times and are never disappointed. The baguette sandwiches are wonderful! A small place, so you might have to wait a bit, but is well worth it. It's like a secret little find.

Chef William Rolle prepares delightful lunch and dinner dishes while singing in French in this little slice of Lyon, France in East Sacramento. The house-smoked salmon is his specialty, but all of the dishes are expertly prepared. The prawns, which are served in sandwiches and on salads, are seasoned perfectly. The mustard dressing on fresh greens and the lentils are... More

WE were pleasantly surprised by how well a prepared and appetizing our lunch was. The restaurant is a little, unpretentious "hole in the wall" in trendy East Sacramento. The decor is simple -- a few French posters, etc. My friend had a sandwich on a delicious baguette, and I had two appetizers/small plates -- poached salmon with dill sauce and... More

Great small gem in East Sac. Everything is fresh, delicious, and stays true to the simple characteristics of french cuisine. Reasonable prices for a great selection. Feels homey and you always get greeted by the chef at some point during your meal!

This is not a high-end "gastronomique" restaurant so don't expect any haute cuisine. However, this restaurant serves excellent food. We went there for lunch on a Friday and arrived before 11:30am. There was no problem in getting a table. It's a small restaurant but well decorated with old French posters. The tables are covered with a glass top and underneath... More

This is run by a French Chef/Owner. It has a limited number of tables and is always busy. They don't take reservations, so come early. They are open for lunch and dinner, and the menu ranges from salad and sandwiches to main meals. I had an assiette, which consisted of salad, lentils, smoked and poached salmon. There are many other... More

Read the online and Sac Bee Reviews and stopped in for lunch and very glad that we did. We lucked up and only waited about 10 mins for our table. Although the lunch menu is limited to salads and sandwichs (hot and cold) the selection was very good. My husband had the marinated shrimp sandwich that came with a salad... More
