My son told me about a wonderful little French bistro in Sac. so I thought I would try it, much to my surprise it was great. I had the warm lamb and my wife had the shrimp sandwich, what a great little place but that is a problem very, very limited sitting, long lines but great food.

Have eaten here twice in the past three weeks with several friends, every person had something different and ALL were delighted with their food. The entrees are fresh, perfectly prepared, and delicious. The only slight problem is the noise level, but understandable because there are so many people enjoying themselves and their meal!

We happened to be driving by Cafe Rolle one Saturday and decided to drop in for lunch. My husband had always noticed the lines outside the Cafe during weekdays so we thought, no lines ,no wait! We had a great lunch. Both of us had sandwiches, he had salmon while I had ham with Brie on fresh baked French bread.... More

My wife just came back from France so she was going through some French food and cheese withdraw. I took her to Café Rolle and everything was served the way it would be in a French Bistro and as tasty!

The good reviews made us curious about this Cafe. They are well deserved, I had the Salmon salad with the most wonderful cold smoked salmon. A large serving, tasting similar to Lox which I love. My Husband had a delicious sandwich, on wonderful bread. We were both really happy with our dinners and highly recommend this reasonably priced gem of... More

I stumbled across Cafe Rolle on my way back home from a biz meeting in East Sacramento. What a nice, unpretentious find. The service is good, the prices are down to earth, and the food is wonderfully prepared and tasty. I enjoyed the duck pate and a plate of marinated shrimp on a bed of lentils. I will definitely be... I had been passing Café Rolle in Sacramento for sometime. I finally visited there for a dinner one evening and was quite surprised that the prices were very reasonable and the food was simple but absolutely delicious. I had a salad with salmon. The salmon was fresh and quite a large piece and the price was approximately $11.00. The dressing... More

We have eaten here several times and are never disappointed. The baguette sandwiches are wonderful! A small place, so you might have to wait a bit, but is well worth it. It's like a secret little find.

Chef William Rolle prepares delightful lunch and dinner dishes while singing in French in this little slice of Lyon, France in East Sacramento. The house-smoked salmon is his specialty, but all of the dishes are expertly prepared. The prawns, which are served in sandwiches and on salads, are seasoned perfectly. The mustard dressing on fresh greens and the lentils are... More

WE were pleasantly surprised by how well a prepared and appetizing our lunch was. The restaurant is a little, unpretentious "hole in the wall" in trendy East Sacramento. The decor is simple -- a few French posters, etc. My friend had a sandwich on a delicious baguette, and I had two appetizers/small plates -- poached salmon with dill sauce and... More
