Steak and a Cab

Had dinner with three other couples. Hadn't been here for a while. I liked their beet salad and the thin sliced presentation was nice. The pork belly was good. The Ribeye steak was excellent and I paired with a bottle of La Jota Cabernet, which was awesome. My wife had the New York which was also... read more

Heading to the theater for an 8 PM curtain and wanting to have a fabulous dining experience beforehand led us to the Esquire Grill, literally across the street from the Sacramento Community Center. We arrived early for our reservation, fully expecting to spend some time at the bar with pre-dinner cocktails. Although we were nearly a half-hour early, we were... More

Wife and I went on a Saturday night without reservation. We spent an enjoyable half hour at the bar and the we were taken to our table. Very good service, although some tables got linen table cloths and some did not. The pork belly app and the beet salad (omg, you won't forget the illusion) were awesome. My wife's pork... More

I attended a business cocktail party at the Esquire grill. Apps were fabulously done!! Hosted bar was set up perfectly and there was room to mingle comfortably. This was a great venue

Went there for lunch at 11:30 didn't get our food until 12:20. Two salads and a sandwich!? Food was bland and my salad didn't have very much dressing. The waitress apologizes and did her best to accommodate but it would be a stretch to say this was average

Esquire Grill is always a reliable place to head to for dinner. Our only problem on this trip was three of the five items we wanted to order weren't available and it was only 7pm. Granted it was a busy dinner seating because of a show at the community center, it was pretty disappointing that we couldn't have what we... More

We had a party of 10, and service was impeccable. I ordered the short ribs, which was excellent. My wife ordered the salmon, and we both enjoyed that as well. Dessert should not be missed, so save room.

Been going to Esquire for years and it never disappoints. Most waiters allow us to split meals without split charge and still bring full sides. The wine and drink choices are amazing but what really sets Esquire apart is the wood-fired steaks! I'll keep going as long as they keep delivering!

It looks upscale and the service is very good. The flavor of the burger was very good and the Mac n cheese was as well. The rest of the meal was very basic almost like salad out of a bag. Too expensive for not that great of food.

Enjoyed the maple glazed chicken salad and flatbread. Bread that is available on request is okay--not great. The salad had rusted Brussels sprouts and squash with pecans. Really delicious. Nice wine selection.
