great restaurant on the river!

As the days are starting to get hot, this is a great restaurant to go to after work in the evening to grab a bite to eat with drinks. I love their Moscow Mule! The view is amazing and no doubt it is always crowded on the weekends.

Loved the warm welcome by the hostess and our server. The menu is very manageable and not overwhelming. We both had Kobe burgers, mine with a roasted poblanos pico de gallo, pepper jack cheese and crispy tortilla chips topped with an avocado aioli. My husband's was with cheddar cheese and caramelized onion aioli. The rosemary fries were addicting, so crispy... More

We only stopped here in late afternoon for a cold drink and sugar boost, but we loved the outdoor deck overlooking the Sacramento River and the Tower Bridge. Very relaxing and picturesque. The service was attentive, the afternoon sun was held back by a phalanx of umbrellas, and the air off the river was refreshing, especially at 4 p.m. on... More

Rio City is a welcome refinement of a dining experience in the Old Sacramento tourist dominated scene. Here is a great restaurant in a great location. The food is a notch up but not too foo-foo.

The restaurant's location on the river provides a pleasant ambience. The food was excellent and the staff handled our group of nine people most effortlessly. They made it an excellent experience.

I had the best and most unusual Huevos Rancheros ever. Good drinks, on the delta, unusual menu items, excellent service and fair prices. what mor is there?

Wandered into Rio City Café on a Saturday outing to Old Town and were fortunate enough to sit outside with a water view. We enjoyed prompt service and both ordered the above mentioned Ravioli Pasta, which was delicious! Plenty of mushrooms filled the little pasta pockets and the sauce was mild with perhaps a hint of nutmeg. I asked for... More

Never got a chance to taste the food here. I had been one time previously for a business lunch and the service was off and the food ok. Our last outing the we waited for a table, got snubbed by the hostess, couldn't get a drink or order taken, 25 minutes later, we got up and left..so the Rio City... More

I've been here a couple of times. The food is good, a little pricey. Great sitting by the water visiting with friends and enjoying good food.

Rio City Cafe is right on the river in Old Sacramento. The service, ambiance, and food are superb. I eat here as often as I can. It is my go-to spit in Old Sacramento.
