went in on saturday morning and we were seated right away. it took a few minutes for waitress to come introduce herself and grab our drinks. she took our order right away and we got our food fairly quick. we had the breakfast menu, pancakes, eggs, omelets, country potatoes, sausages, bacon, which tasted like any other diner breakfast. we used... Old fashioned good food. Great pancakes, coffee, crisp bacon and great service. Try their specials, made fresh every day and so is their soup. Open for breakfast and lunch, till 3 PM only.

Who hasn't been to Pancake Circus especially if you live in the mid-downtown area? The décor (Décor? Hmmmm?) hasn't changed in sixty years which is comprised of a mostly circus motif with a scary amount of clowns. Don't come near here if you have Coulrophobia! If you have a hunger for full plates of regular guy breakfast Americana, come here.... More

This place is a hidden gem in Sacramento. The service was awesome and the food was incredibly good. We came on a busy Sunday morning and it was worth the wait. I recommend this place to anyone.

I'm ok with old and nostalgia, but not dirty, dusty and icky. The restrooms were awful. The server was extremely pleasant and efficient, though and the food was ample and freshly made, but was heavy and tasteless. I had a living social and I have to say this is the only time I have ever used one that was greeted... More

Pancake Circus takes me back 50 years to a time before the onslaught of fast food that all but wiped every other place like it in the city. It is a solid, honest restaurant. I don't understand the criticisms. The reasonably priced meals are tasty and service was terrific. An early closing time probably keeps costs down and ensures everyone... More

The food is awful. The service is awful. The coffee is awful. Keep going to McDonald's down the street.

There is really not much to making great pancakes and waffles, especially when that is what you call your place. SOOOO bad, never again. People, ingredients do count!! and your food is not that inexpensive, spend some on quality ingredients.

We ate breakfast here on a Saturday morning 7 it was interesting to say the least. Service was prompt, waitress was friendly. Decor is very outdated & could use some cleaning, but it definitely fits the name of the place. It's not fancy, but it was a decent breakfast & prices are decent too. I'm not sure I would return,...
