Very beautiful atmosphere in an old building. Staff were very attentive and the food was excellent, from the bottle of wine we had to the dessert. We were there for a special occasion and it just made it more special.

Food & service excellent; only issue was with the hostess. We had a 5:00 reservation made via Open Table. Arrived early @ 4:00 when business in Sacto finished. Dinner service begins @ 4, so we sat in lounge and had a glass of wine & hors d'eouvres. Bartender/server Bo very attentive. However, we told two different hostesses, one @ 4:00... More

We have heard about the Firehouse and read other reviews on line. We were NOT disappointed! Very nice place and didn't have to get all dressed up - but some diners did. All of the wait staff were obviously highly trained & groomed for their jobs. Fantastic service! My Cosmo was divine & my husband had a tequilla that he... More

Yes, this was once a real firehouse -- the pole from which the hose men used to descend is still visible in the bar, along with some wonderfully garish, large scale nudes typical of the era. The dining room is plush and spacious, perfect for an intimate dining experience. The menu is varied and imaginative, and the personable staff allows... More

My husband took me to The Firehouse to celebrate our anniversary. It was the perfect ending to an awesome day. The waiter was very attentive and made us feel as if he were there just for us. We dined outside on the picturesque terrace rather than in the restaurant. The ambience was very nice as well as the soft sounds... More

Excellent food, great ambiance, fun photos of California politicos. Our food server was fantastic. They also have a young patrons menu for kids. Highly recommend!

This is one of the best 5 star dinners I have enjoyed in a restaurant. We had the tasting menu paired with wine. It was delight. Inspired cuisine and attentive but not offensive service. Layer flavors that lead to an gastronomic crescendo. If you are any where near the Central Valley and you enjoy the finer things, this is the... More

Be sure to make a reservation if you want to dine at this restaurant. We read the menu on line before making a reservation and thought that it looked totally overpriced. However, we decided to give it a try as a treat to ourselives at the end of a trip. SO glad that we did! There is a reason for... More

The restaurant in a converted firehouse has a lot of character and a nice menu of fine dining choices with interesting parings. Wine selection is very good and deserts are nice too. Worth the visit.
