Food was good but not worth the price. Upscale but a bit run down. Service a bit on the snooty side.
We have been to The Firehouse several times for a large gathering. The arrangements were superb and the food excellent. The staff was very helpful and attentive.
I was in a wedding that was held at The Firehouse. The staff was great and the venue was beautiful. The ceremony and reception were both held in the outdoor courtyard. Beautiful! Food was delicious!
We were here for a sit down luncheon for a special occasion. The restaurant is beautiful! In the heart of Old Town Sacramento. Very nice decor. Our luncheon was downstairs in a private room with a full bar. One wall was alll glass windows overlooking a beautiful, quaint courtyard filled with trees and wrought iron tables, very romantic. We had... More
This is an old fashioned white-linen tablecloth restaurant with black napkins, a true sign of class. The very romantic main dining room is gorgeous, with a number of beautiful paintings on the wall. Also included are five gold-leaf mirrors and a grand fireplace. Service (led by Dynise) was impeccable, professional and attentive but seamless. And the food is of the... More
We recently celebrated our anniversary in Sacramento; had dinner at this lovely old fire house restaurant conversion in Old Town Sacramento. I had eaten there probably 30 years ago and had fond memories of the place - wasn't disappointed, the place still serves a wonderful menu of foods beautifully and deliciously prepared! The dining room is interesting and has some... More
Came here for my birthday, enjoyed the 4 course dinner and the personal service from our server. would come here again.
The Firehouse restaurant in Old Sacramento continues its multi-decade run as one of Sacramento's premier restaurants. Elegant ambiance, linen table cloths, outstanding menu, a wine cellar which has been recognized as "Best in California," and a superb wait staff -- all meld perfectly together to make every dining experience a special occasion. My wife and I recently ate at the... More
As a native Sacramentan, I spent many years enjoying special occasions at the Fire House Restaurant. In fact, back in 1979, my father's retirement party was held there by the EDD. The food is deeply American--steaks and such. But, oh so good. It's a place to take business associates you want to impress, a first date, or to celebrate something... More
The menu has become more eclectic recently. It is very pricy for Sacramento [San Francisco prices]. It is a great restaurant for a VERY SPECIAL .event in your life.
