Had breakfast on son's last day home before he returns to DC. Went to Tower Cafe. Had coffee, wife ordered corn meal pancakes; son had a Denver omelette; I ordered bacon and eggs. I had to order a side of toast @ $2.50 as they don't serve it with any of their breakfasts. Wife said her pancakes were dry; son... More

We have eaten at the Tower Cafe before with our son and daughter-in-law. Today we had the special shrimp omelette and the eggs with bangers. Both meals were very good and the service as always was excellent. I also like the coffee here. We bought some pastries to take home as well. We will eat here again

Tower Cafe is one of the most Hip places to have an mouth watering, outdoor breakfast. The Bloody Mary's count for an full vegetable serving and the sourdough french toast is the best I've eaten. The diner area outside is wonderful and has a spirtual atmosphere, I've never eaten indoors, but it looks Kool inside, as I have gone inside... More

Upon verbal reviews from friends, we decided to try Tower Cafe for breakfast on our last day in Sacramento. It did no disappoint. We sat outside, in the beautiful patio area near the fountain. Everyone in my party had French toast for the main dish (SO good!) and we had potatoes and chicken sausage as well. It was very good... More

This is one, hip, global place to chow down. Many choices for a main meal and dessert for all tastes. Very attractive, eye-catching decor inside the restaurant and pleasant outdoor seating, café style. Located at the busy corner of the upscale Land Park area and transient central, but that is Sacramento. A little loud and busy for my taste; OK... More

Fun yet relaxing atmosphere inside or out. We sat in the beautiful garden area. Some tables are small but for two - works well. Food is good and large portions make the expensive rate a little more except able. Excellent place for special occasions.

The venerable Tower Cafe, near the original site of late, lamented Tower Records, is an interesting Sacramento phenomenon. The interior looks like someone converted a Pier One Imports store to a restaurant without removing the merchandise. The menu is similarly eclectic. This is one place I can bring my vegetarian stepchild, or a vegan colleague, and still enjoy an omnivore's... More

I loved the gardens built for the enjoyment of outside dinners. Although lunches are served and looked good, we went for desserts. Frankly, choosing a selection is difficult. I went for the flourless chocolate cake, a rich delicacy and favorite of mine. Several of the fresh fruit desserts appeared more creative. I hope I am able to return as this... More

Tower Cafe is definitely a gem. This is a great place for locals to take out-of-towners. I'm not sure what's best, the outdoor setting or their desserts. If you sit inside in view of the dessert display, you will definitely save room for one of their rich desserts. If you sit on the patio, you may at one point realize... More

My wife and I are big fans of outdoor eating and this is the place to go if you're in Sacramento. We visit occasionally and have never been disappointed here. On our most recent visit it was a warm but not hot day and we went for lunch. The lush garden pulls you in, practically demanding that you sit for... More
