I'm on the fence about talking about this place because I want to keep it a secret and only a place a few people know...but, I can't sit on how AMAZING this place is! We've eaten here many times, brunch, lunch and dinner. We've celebrated birthdays and the hubby and I have had a romantic evenings as well. Small, but... More

Located in an up Scale strip mall it is growing to be a real find in fine dining. I had the seared Chilean Sea Bass. My wife the coq au vin with a delicious salad. Both were excellent and well priced. Seating is not large but intimate. Varied menu with three specials tonight. Reservations good idea on weekends.

Prompt and attentive service in this tiny restaurant with interesting daily specials. Wine was served quickly, even though our group members arrived one at a time. The salads were delicious, and the choices for small plates were interesting. An enjoyable evening was had by all.

Ravenous was an excellent experience for myself and for my friend. We went for lunch and the place was, sadly, almost empty. I don't think too many people know about this place, hidden away in a strip mall in the Pocket area of Sacto. Great service, wonderful food, highly recommended.

We've been wanting to try Ravenous since we moved into the Pocket/Greenhaven area last summer. This tiny, storefront space (with a couple of outdoor tables) is coming up on its second anniversary, and is located in the 24-Hour Fitness strip mall on Pocket Road. This tiny eaterie is competing with the Pocket Bistro for most gastronomic food in the area... More

Ravenous is one of the best kept secrets in Sacramento. It's a small place in a strip mall dominated by a 24 Hour Fitness, but don't let that fool you. The food is on par with top notch downtown eateries, and the service is always excellent. Their burger (with portobello mushrooms and blue cheese) is a favorite, as are the... More

Wouldn't expect much at a neighborhood shopping mall in the Greenhaven-Pocket region in the south area of Sacramento, but Ravenous tried hard to please, though in my opinion, fell somewhat short. It is a small compact place that had few diners when our party of eight arrived at 7:30 PM. Our waiter, Joe, was friendly and efficient, getting our wine... More

We live in the Greenhaven Pocket neighborhood, so choices are few, which is why its great to have a terrific local restaurant. But frankly, its too good to think of it as the "local place". We'd drive to go here. A block off the freeway, so no excuse not to give it a try the next time you' ll over... More

Ravenous is a quaint neighborhood bistro located in the Pocket/Greenhaven area of Sacramento. It was a delight and we will return. The food was quite good and the service was attentive. I had mussels as an appetizer - they were huge with good flavor. I also had a very tasty eggplant dish and shared some crab-cakes. They also have a... More
