Great Mole Poblano con Pollo and Trocitos de Puerco en Salsa Verde

This Mexican food was delicious, the mole truly outstanding, as was the pork in salsa verde. The cocktails were yummy, the wine a little spendy but good. We sat outside on a pleasant evening before attending the ballet. We'll be back!

We went to Mayahuel for a wedding anniversary dinner. The colorful, modern Day of the Dead inspired decor and classic portraits of tequila masters is bold and commanding. Mayahuel is a long rectangular space, with high ceilings, and a cavernous feeling as it extends back to a 2nd bar in the way back. We had a small table for two... More

I've visited Mayahuel now three times. Two consistent things on each visit: 1) Exceptional service (especially from Fernando, who also provides lots of information about different tequilas); and, 2) Noisy. Can't do much about the latter because of the plaster and cement used throughout and the high ceilings. So, it can be hard to hear your dining partner. However, the... More

I purchased a groupon to try this place out. We were shocked at how good the food and margaritas were. Even our picky 8 year old cleared her child plate of flautas, beans and rice and then went after our braised pork dish. Not your typical Mexican food, which is what makes this place special. The service leaves nothing to... More

Our group of 10 had dinner at 5:45 pm before a theater performance. The food was excellent. But surprisingly the service was slow, and it was early evening. I ordered the flank steak with the enchilada. It would have been a real home run except my food unfortunately was not even warm. I would have sent it back except service... More

Early dinner before ballet, close to the Auditorium...noisy during happy hour, however our grandchildren loved the energy and it did not detour our enjoyment of our adult beverages and dinner...chile rellano unusual as the chile was filled with a crab and shrimp with a light sauce and rice...not a heavy meal; others had the vegan tacos, flank steak. We all... More

Love the guac/salsa and chips. Great mole. Blue corn tacos with either grilled steak or chicken are my favorite. The flavors are a little different than traditional Mexican food but wonderful. Love the ceviche also.
