Very pleased with our meal at Press. Two of us had a moist, flavorful salmon and two a substantial and succulent grilled pork chop. One chose a signature squash soup while three of us had salads, two with noticeable portions of duck and one with fennel, all with fresh, delicate greens. Decor is simple with an interesting communal table complementing... More

We were here early Sunday evening, after a show downtown. It's the typical industrial interior. Very open and comfortable. We were greeted by the bartender and seated immediately. Cocktails: Filthy Martini and a Manhattan. Very good. On to the Tapas. Meatballs with Garlic Yogurt were the best. Goat Cheese Stuffed Peppers were sweet and tasty. Pumpkin and Parmesan Arancini was... More

The Press serves farm to fork food in midtown Sacramento. The food is always fresh, excellent and well-priced. There is also a very happening bar scene. Outdoor dining is available with some excellent people watching as people come to this area with many restaurants.

The Press Bistro is one of mid-town's most comfortable and reliably good dining spots. Friendly and informal, it's a great place to celebrate the weekend, or to meet friends for drinks and tapas after work. The food is good, the service pleasant, and the cost reasonable.

Great little place, extensive wine list, specialty drinks, and Tapas? They have a 3 for $10 Tapas menu, and we decided to try 6. The goat cheese stuffed peppers were delicious, the meatballs in garlic yogurt, baba ganoush, and marinated olives were all wonderful. For dinner we tried a few things, my chicken picata was tender and moist, and the... More

My wife and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at The Press. The staff was attentive and well informed. The butternut squash-filled ravioli was fantastic! And the banana crepes and creme brule were out of this world.

The press is always solid for pasta and main dishes but the tapas are excellent. I had the mussels as a starter and then a fresh fish dish. Sauces are light and savory . Interesting selection of wines including Italian Borolo.

Liked: We ordered a number of tapas: the marinated olives, fried meatballs, the corn and parmesan arancini, and the potato croquettes and my favorites by far were the marinated olives and the arancini! I should have ordered another serving of olives instead of the potato croquettes which were ok, just sort of ordinary and bland compared to the other flavors.... More

We dined here before going to The Music Circus. We ordered a few tapas which were delicious. Our main course was terrific. It is a "happening" place and was full of energy and people. The service was impeccable. We will return. Reservations a must.

Friends took me out for my birthday. Started with cocktails - bartender made a great sangria for my wife - she really enjoyed it. I had my usual Kettle One on the rocks. We started with an order of every appetizer. Great tasting but small servings. After, we had soups and salads. The corn chowder was very tasty, the pork... More
