waited three months to go here only to find myself disappointed. Menu is very limited and they do not make any accomadations to your food needs such.as allergies ,beliefs, religion, etc. i had yhe sworrdfush special.and.it was small, oversalted, and overprices. The pasta dishes werent anything special. They were bland and not too good. The best part was the $1... More

Salad is not something that normally catches my interest but this was outstanding salad-crisp, light, pop of flavor in the mouth. the size of our group allowed us to try almost every entree and dessert--consistently good. If you are there when they offer the halibut special, go for it. Service was excellent--attentive without being overwhelming.

I don't ever write bad reviews for places, usually not worth my time. But I was pretty disappointed with my experience here. It was my husbands last night in town before he deployed the next day, which just so happened was also his birthday. I wanted to take him some place that would be really special. We decided on Press... More

My husband and I went to the Crocker Art Gallery and were looking for a restaurant nearby for dinner. I had tried to make a reservation at a couple of other places but they did not have the time I wanted so based on reviews we decided to try The Press. Am I glad we did! This restaurant far exceeded... More

Went there Jan 15 with a group of 8 US and Canadian colleagues. We called a few minutes ahead and staff had table ready for us by the time we got there. excellent food with local ingredient. friendly and knowledgable staff. Good wine selection. Decor is chic yet casual. We ordered a bunch of tapas as appetizer which was fun... More

Went to Press Bistro last night with two other couples. Have been there 4 or 5 times before. Slight delay in getting seated for our 8PM reservation, greeted by owner/chef, David English, who offered us seating by front window and offered us drinks. The restaurant was crowded and has a nice young vibe with a central communal table. We were... More

We ate at Press last night, and were very impressed. My wife, an interior designer, loved the exposed beams and hardware. Service was friendly and quick, and the bartender was conversant despite being very busy. Press is a big room with a communal table in the middle and an open kitchen. The chef comes out and helps clear and talks... More

Ditto my 12/2011 review; The Press is just consistently wonderful. Quiet date dinners, family night with teens, special occasion meals, out of town guests: they all love The Press. The servers are smart people who know the food, and the food and really, really good. And when you consider the prices, it's great! Don't miss the Sunday night 3 course... More

Went for a celebratory dinner. The menu is so diverse with so many options we were able to try a wide variety of foods without a super high price. Great wine, beer, and cocktail selection. Wonderful patio and great for a wide variety of occasions

Four of us dined here on a Saturday night. We had reservations and were seated promptly. We started with some tapas.....fried meatballs, pita with hummus, and arancini. We also ordered their housemade foccacia. The pita was okay. Everything else here was very good. I had a seasonal dish of calamari on a salad of heirloom tomatoes. It was amazing. The... More
