Went here for a large family dinner. Staff was super friendly, someone even held the door for all of us. Our waitress was also very patient with our big group. The food came out reasonably quickly. Portions were not a problem, everyone left full. I got the 12 oz. prime rib, which was gigantic. Definitely one of the best prime... More

I had the corned beef hash with poached eggs and enjoyed it. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I prefer hashbrown potatoes but they have country style which were very good. My wife had the crab cake Benedict and thought it was very good but for the price a tad spendy. Our server was very friendly and gave menu suggestions. We... More

We celebrated a friend's retirement at Evan's kitchen, really did not know anything about the place but they were very accommodating regarding the party, food and service were outstanding. Will be visiting this restaurant more often.

This is a 4 1/2 star review. Saturday breakfast is our weekly guilty p,erasure. Having just moved back to Sac Town after being gone way too long, we are just finding out what's new and good.Evan's did not disappoint. Hubby had the special Benny (smoked salmon) and he loved it. I had the egg sandwich on croissant and requested the... More

We received excellent, attentive and friendly service. Our benny specials were appealing to see and so THOROUGHLY DELICIOUS and satisfying on the palate. Members of the clean plate club here. This was actually the first time I have eaten eggs benedict in any form. The eggs were so fluffy, so tasty, I'm sold. We also indulged with bacon bloody marys.... More

We ate breakfast here last weekend. It was SO good. I had a breakfast ham and cheese sandwich that was so large and rich that I made two meals out of it. My husband had the eggs benedict - one the best he has enjoyed. The value was great. Service was wonderful. The food top of the mark.

First of all every meal I have had has been very good. Breakfast good, dinner excellent. I have had their Prime Rib special, Filet with reduction sauce and blue cheese; salmon and chicken fried steak. The vegetables served with all the meals are clearly farm to table. Delicious However, I know that Evans is in Antique Row, but I wish... More

We have always had enjoyed our dinners here at Evan's so naturally I was looking forward to breakfast/lunch. I found our meal to be ok. When we walked in the server asked if we had reservations even though there were plenty of available tables. From there it just seemed like we were a bother. Breakfast wasn't anything that great. I... More

What happened? My first review of Evan's back in February was how wonderful it was. I went with my wife a couple of weeks ago for breakfast. I ordered the usual, eggs, ham, potatoes and biscuit....horrible. The ham was laser thin and over cooked, the eggs were OK and the biscuit was obviously nuked in the microwave that made it... More

Evans can be a little tricky to find but once you do it is a worthy find. Nestled in between antique shops. The food is very good. Homestyle with a twist. I had the meatloaf which I normally do not order while dining out. Evans meatloaf was so good the brown gravy with mushrooms was delicious. For once mashed potatoes... More
