Too Good to be a Chain!!

We have had fish tacos all over the US as well as in Hawaii. One thing that we have found is that they are all different. Rubio's has their own take with their original tacos, but they deserve to be one of the best. Sort of a fast food scenario, but the quality is very good. Seems to be a... read more

When I travel around Sacramento and I get hungry, I head to Rubio's on Truxel. They have the nicest staff and THE BEST fish tacos around. I always get the Fish Taco Especials and have never, ever been disappointed. My wife also loves their burritos as she is a vegetarian. The food is always fresh and hot with a very... More

There are several Rubio's locations in the Sacramento area, and this one is by far the best one I've been to. I always got the Avocado corn fish taco platter before they took it off the menu, but the original battered is just as delicious. The fish tastes incredibly fresh, and "spicy" salsa is fantastic and actually spicy, and the... More

Rubio's is great for a lighter mexican dish. Not like Chipotle... Much better! Their Chicken Gormet Tacos are amazing!! And also their chicken chopped Salad and Nachos! Great food!

4th trip to Rubio's, love, love, love the fish tacos and the spicy shrimp tacos, here I tried something new: Mahi Burrito, options blackened or grilled, chose blackened: delicious. Love the lemon bars, great value at $1.49 apiece. Noisy inside, sat outside in the sun, Mr. Skidmore brought me out my meal, courteous, service, really 1st rate food.

We stopped off at Rubios in Sacramento specifically to eat here since we don't have this chain in Reno, NV and were coming to Sac for another reason anyway. We used to eat at Rubio;s in SoCal when we lived down there so we knew what to expect. For the most part we were not disappointed. I seemed to remember... More

Don't get me wrong. This restaurant was not bad at all, and in fact was a pretty good deal compared with others in the neighborhood. None of the food was bad, but it varied from dish to dish. Some things were really good, like my wife's spinach and mushroom enchelada. Other things were just ok, like the beans and rice;... More
