Pricey but worth it

A very nice small and quaint restaurant for special occasions. Magnificent food and friendly efficient service. A very nice but somewhat pricey wine list. Noisier than I would like, but still much quieter than most Marin restaurants. The dinners are well prepared and beautifully presented.

I happen to love country French food. But this is so good. The staff are all wonderful. Not over priced. My absolute favorite is the gnocchi. Second recommendation is the Duck con fit, the Duck is so tender it practically melts in your mouth. In the autumn they make the best French Onion soup I have ever had. Just go.... More

The table and chairs weren't very comfortable, and a bit crowded. The menu is quite theatrical in its choice of vocabulary and ingredients, but then this is Marin County. Our party of four gathered to have a nice visit, but the acoustics and proximity of other diners weren't as conducive to relaxed conversation as I had hoped. Service, food and... More

My family and I made a reservation for this restaurant for Mother’s Day in celebration of my mom and had a very uncomfortable experience with unsettling service.  We arrived early and checked in yet was told to wait while another party arrived after us and was seated right away which I find a little rude and odd when we had... This lovely little spot is in Marin County. The selection isn't huge, but what they serve makes quite a statement. For starters Burrata (cow cheese) with port-poached fig, California Petrale sole, Winter vegetable table ragout, Pots de creme, Pomegranate and lime sherbet. The list goes on and on. When you are north of the Golden Gate Bridge search for this... More

Listen, I live in Marin. I used to live not far from this restaurant. I drove by it many many times, and always said I wanted to try it. Finally after 8 years, I got to it last night. I love good food, I have been to French Laundry, and Chez Panisse. Honestly I think this is better than both... More

Wasn't sure what to expect being in a small town, however the menu was appealing. We walked in and to our delight found a quaint cozy environment, not at all cramped, with excellant welcoming service. Our waiter catered to all our needs, and was impressively knowledgable about the food/wine selections. We shared the Thursday grass fed burger which was as... More

Celebrated family bdays with great dinner at Marche aux Fleurs - French- Californian restaurant. Atmosphere is really cozy and our server was fantastic and very patient with our hems n haws about what to order. Wonderful appetizers of bacon-wrapped Medjool dates and crostini with avocado and everyone enjoyed their mains...several had the lamb and thought it was great.

I can't write enough great things about this place. Perfect menu on Thursdays includes their hamburger which, at $19 isn't free, but is well worth it. Fries are great, and are included. Start with one of their great pastas (gnocchi is superb), bib salad with perfectly crunchy rendered bacon, and wash it with some reasonably priced wine from their by-the-glass... More

Marche aux Fleurs is an outstanding French-Californian restaurant, and our favorite restaurant in Marin. The "nibbles" are all good--our favorites are the bacon-wrapped dates, the boccherones, and the olive. When available, the gazpacho soup is killer, with the beet salad a close second. The orechiette with Italian Sausage and Calabrian peppers is a wonderful mainstay, if you can't find something... More
