Description: The menu at Paul Martin’s consists of dishes aimed at taking diners back to the American farm with meat raised in a humane and wholesome way, locally sourced organic produce, fish from conscientious fishmongers, artisan cheeses and cured meats from small local purveyors and custom-made bread from expert bakers. The California-centric wine list twists and turns, by glass or bottle, through the Golden State’s fruitful vineyards, with an occasional stop for an Oregon Pinot Gris or a Washington dry Riesling. And behind Paul Martin’s elegantly rustic bar is an interesting array of local craft beer and spirited cocktails with fresh garnishes. Good times and thoughtful food are a way of life at Paul Martin’s local, American Bistro.

The polenta with mushrooms was excellent as well as the prime rib - done to perfection (and I rarely use the word "perfection"). The style of the polenta was exactly the way I like - holds its shape but isn't tough or difficult to slice through. This one was soft - no knife necessary. Other restaurants I've come across totally... More

Went here with a co-worker while traveling on business. I would consider this a special occasion restaurant, and was a bit surprised when I saw a family with two kids leaving while we were being seated. My co-worker got the Butcher Board and salad, while I went with the blackened Rib-eye Steak. The steak was much bigger than I was... More

My husband and I went to Paul Martin's for our anniversary dinner. It was an excellent meal with great drinks and very attentive service. Our bill came to over $200 so for us, this would be just a special occasion place. To save money, try the great happy hour. Fun for a group of friends or an early date night... More

Paul Martin's is my choice for dinner and Happy Hour. We especially enjoy Happy Hour in the summer because it is so nice to sit outside. Their Cosmos are wonderful! My favorite dinner meal at PM's is the short ribs. They are so tender and very rich. We generally order one meal to share and an extra salad. Paul Martin's... More

The place is overrated, unless you are looking for a huge middle-aged crowd where the drinks are very expensive and the wait for a table is way too long.

PM's happy hour lasts until 7pm and is available on weekends too. Good value, fun atmosphere, I suggest reservations... 1.5 hour wait for 2 person party on a Sat. Night so we sat at the Bar. Get the seasonal baked apple crisp....

Excellent service; food was over the top delicious; prepared perfectly (I had a pork chop which was cooked exactly as it should have been - not to the consistency of cardboard.). Friend had a cedar planked salmon which was cooked perfectly. The presentation was excellent as well. The solicitous treatment by the server (name slips me at the moment -... More

Top quality California cuisine. Ingredients are locally sourced. I could go on and on about how good it was but there really isn't anything to say except, "You !"won't be disappointed

We needed a place to just talk and relax with a bottle of wine. This was the perfect place. It was warm enough to sit outside with the portable heater turned on. The wine was excellent, Rodney Strong, Pinot Noir, and the Smoked Salmon appetizer (Happy Hour) was excellent. The best part was that we could actually hear ourselves talk.... More

Just got into town and had dinner here based on a strong recommendation from the desk clerk at our hotel. Reviews looked good here on TripAdvisor so went expecting a pleasant experience. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The restaurant was fairly busy for a Sunday evening but certainly not slammed. The hostesses were pleasant and turned out to be the best... More
