Good food or the entire family

We discovered this place a couple of months ago after a shopping spree at the Galleria. We were hungry but weren't dressed up nor did we want to spend hours. It had quite a few customers, we could see thru the window plus parking space was scarce. The place is cozy, some both, or tables. The menue... read more

We have eaten at several Black Bear Diners over the years and this was our best meal at one yet...on Christmas day even, that says a lot. The other BB diners we tried were spotty at best some good some not so but this one was a surprise. We needed a meal while out and about on Christmas day but... More

Always liked Black Bear, but when this location opened it was a mess. Service levels have returned. Exceptional and friendly associates. Tri tip is hit and miss, but when it's cooked medium rare, it's exceptional. Gigantic portion sizes and a great ambience.

Doesn't matter what Black Bear that I visit the service and food are amazing. This is one of those few places that are actually worth the wait. My favorite is always the corned beef hash or biscuits and gravy.

My wife and I had breakfast this morning at the Black Bear diner. The place was packed, and getting a parking space was a challenge. However, the diner is quite large. Once seated our waitress came over almost immediately and the wait time for our food was reasonable. I thought the granola imbued pancakes were very good, though a little... More

I've eaten at several Black Bear Diners over the years, but this one was great. Our waitress was so upbeat and expedient and the food and coffee were really good. I've found, from the number of times I've eaten at these diners, that it really is a place for breakfast. I've never had good luck with their lunch or dinner... More

This is typical of every other Black Bear Diner we have tried. They are consistent so you know what to expect. Portions are generally huge, so plan accordingly. Good menu variety and prices are very good for what you get. We were there today with family and several small children. Wait staff were exceptional! Food was very good and we... More

We love the big breakfasts at Black Bear. However getting a table here can be a pain on the weekends, Get there early or expect long waits. The biscuits and gravy our the highlight of our visits. One giant fluffy biscuit with that yummy country gravy for under $5! Pancakes are great as well and very large, you definitely wont... More

We kept hearing about the Black bear Diner, that for years "we in Sacramento were deprived, the food is fantastic, everything is fresh, love it love it love it..." Well, we waited a long time, both to get a seat, then to get a menu, then to order our food, then to get our food...we waited a long time. I... More
