This restaurant was recommended by a friend and since it's quite a drive from home we had been trying to go for quite a while. We were warmly greeted by the owner who recommended a good Peruvian wine. The server was friendly, but not overly so. The food was delicious. Our appetizer was the Yucas a La Huancaína, and YUM!... We had lunch here a couple of weeks ago and are still talking about the delicious foods we enjoyed. We had the Cerviche with all of the different fish, and seafood. Totally outstanding! We had Chicken, Beef, and Fish served with the most delicious sweet potatoes. The waiter was so helpful in describing all of the different dishes and wines!... More

We found La Huaca courtesy of Trip Advisor and couldn't have been happier. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. I had the signature seafood soup and it was the best thing I've tasted lately. The flavor was sublime. My companion had an excellent steak. We both loved the passionfruit drink. We highly recommend La Huaca.

Great tasting food with a festive Peruvian atmosphere. I'm confident most people have never tried Peruvian cuisine...look no further. Peruvian cuisine is as unique and flavorful as it is healthy. Staples include fish, pork, chicken and beef with potatoes serving as the foundation for many meals. Vegetarians will love the quinoa, rice beans and vegetables. La Huaca is a culinary... More

On the recommendation of good friends we had lunch at La Huaca recently. Both the service and food quality and taste were outstanding. We are now recommending this restaurant to our friends. The decor and Peruvian music added to the enjoyment of our meal. Don;t miss reading the receipt books at the waiting area in this lovely restaurant.

Found this restaurant suggestion on TripAdvisor. We were looking for something other than the same-o-same-o. We had never experienced Peruvian food but found it to be really good. The service was superior, very friendly and informative. The restaurant itself was clean, roomy, and actually had tablecloths and cloth napkins. Impressive! Anxious to try it for dinner. (Easy to find as... More

We were in the area for an event, and hoped to eat at a restaurant we found in 2011. Alas, it had closed, but was replaced by La Huaca. We knew how to get there, and decided to give it a try. La Huaca is clean, open, and inviting with tablecloths and cloth napkins. We had never had Peruvian food,... More

This place is pretty unique. Peruvian cuisine is simple, but good. Warm greetings, great attentive service, very good food all made dinner really fun. When I get back to the area, this is a definite repeat.

I saw a good review of the restaurant in the newspaper. Decided to try it for lunch. I thought a light lunch would be right, choose Cerviche and a small salad. Great choice. The Cerviche was fresh & tangy, I had a mix of several kinds of seafood and enjoyed every piece. The salads on the menu were large entree... More

Delicious Peruvian food DOES exist in the Sacramento area... it can be found in upscale East Roseville, California. My wife and I dined here recently at the urging of some friends who often visit Peru, and thus have the opportunity to sample a variety of the authentic regional foods of the country - and we are thrilled that we did!...
