They make handmade flour tortillas. .. that are really good. .. but they are a bit pricey. . And there is always a long wait to get in. .. but the food is ok. ..I think the tortillas are there best item

Excellent food and great atmosphere. Enjoyed and will come back for sure. Loved the combo fajita and smoke flavored salsa, especially.

We love going to Anchos because the food is good, and you can be as loud as you want without anyone noticing! I mean that in a good way, the people are friendly and the surroundings are great. Fresh made tortillas are the best.

One of the best and very well known Mexican Restaurant in Riverside. They are typically known for their homemade tortillas, that you can watch being made while waiting for yours to be served. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and a family setting.

This was one of my favorite places a few years ago. Now, it's just average. The service was mixed, and had to ask for water several times. Perhaps, it was just one of those bad days. I had the combination fajita plates but wasn't much different from other Mexican fusion restaurants. Loved the tortillas but the salsa was too salty.... More

I met my son here for dinner. My son said he brings his family here and it's pretty good. When I left my name with the hostess I thought the place looked like a huge school lunch room. Kind of rough but don't let the looks fool you. He had the tacos and I had a steak burrito. I have... More

Okay, so we used to live close to this place and visit fairly often. I have to say the fish with cilantro lime butter is dee-lish-ous! If they aren't offering sea bass as a special, ask. It is so much better than whatever kind of fish they are normally serving. My husband, a creature of habit, rarely ventured away from... More

Outstanding food we love New Mexican food I think you have to go to New Mexico to do any better though. The chili Riano was my favorite my wife loved the tamale but the fresh meat tortillas are great too

It's not true Mexican but you get frijoles y aroz with every plate. It's not Texan but you get portions for a cowboy. There are many good plates but the Steak Tacos Al Carbon are tried and true every time. Tender pieces of filet grilled with mex style and cover it with what you like. The fish specials every day... I chose Anchos for my birthday celebration because I view this restaurant as a celebratory spot. Years ago when I and my 2 girlfriends all bought our houses at the same time, we celebrated at Anchos. Texas style spare ribs! Bacon-wrapped grilled shrimp!! Freshly made tortillas!!! Deliciously flavored strawberry margaritas!!!! This is the place. Now usually, I am not a... More
