I go for the DRINKS!

The "art" decorated patio and outside seems to attract a lot folks, I'm not so fond of it but I admit some of it is entertaining if not funny. The food is not too bad, I enjoyed a torta and a quesadilla. My brother's shrimp cocktail wasn't that great and he didn't finish it. I always say that... read more

We were hungry and our friends from Riverside told us it was good. I had tamales and chips. But the best part were the pickled carrots AND onions! Yummy! Leave some time to wander yard besides and in back of Tio's. It's a page from the page with its strange and wonderful artwork from recycled stuff! It's not just a... More

You can go to this restaurant to eat, but we always go primarily to enjoy the recycled artwork. The entire yard is full of art composed of bottles, cans, old Barbie dolls, and fabulous creations that are completely unique. It reminds me of Watts Towers in Los Angeles. Entry is free, and you can wander for hours looking at all... More

We were staying up the street at the Mission Inn, and this is just a little off the beaten path of tourist type restaurants that you'll find nearby the Mission Inn; I found it while out for a morning jog, and had to stop to figure out what this bizarre looking place was - an art gallery, a museum, the... this restaurant is near the greyhound bus station. Outside, you will see all of these unusual adornments! I had a chille relent which was fresh and the tamales were hot and just made. The staff was very friendly and we still have leftovers in the fridge! We will definitely return to this authentic Mexican restaurant!

Loved the flautas! Super long line, since the food is so good, but we got to the register surprisingly fast. And the food was at our table in record time. A+ restaurant!

This amazing restaurant is fun to see, but the food is average. This is the second time we have been here, and the food hasn't improved.

What is up with all the " best food ever" " great ambiance" is this the first time you people have been let out of your house! Its trash turned into objects. The place is filthy. The food is gross. Ordered Huevos Rancheros what I got was two eggs over easy with beans and rice. Also ordered a Michelada served... More

Mosaic junk art is my favorite medium, and Tio's is a junk art haven. The beer bottle walls are amazing, the tiled tables are beautiful, and there is even a monkey tree full of monkey stuffed animals. My carnitas taco was great, and my enchilada was unlike anything I ever had before. The flavored fruit drinks are really what makes... More

Tio's Tacos is a funky restaurant whose owner never discards anything, rather makes it into yard art. You must see it to believe it. The refried beans and rice were tasty and not greasy. However, the fish in my tacos was burned to a crisp, and they still served it! If we ever go back, we will not order fish... More
