First Visit Under New Ownership

Ate here last week, which was our first visit since the place changed hands a few months ago. Overall, we enjoyed it a lot. My wife and I had fish...me swordfish, her salmon...and both were very happy with our meals. Service was also very good. We'll definitely be going back!

I have visited the Point four times since it has had a new owner. I want so much to like it as we in Rio Vista were so happy when a new owner took it over. He is great in giving to the community, putting on events for the community, offering bands and entertainment at night. For all of that... More

It's so wonderful to have another good restaurant in Rio Vista. One that features great salad, super soup and the best calamari. There are other delicious dishes; however, since I am reviewing The Point, I love the afore mentioned choices. The cook is fabulous, waiters are conscientious and truly "on the move", and the prices are in accordance with a... More

The Point has been a well establish institution that changes hands periodically. Under new management since December 2014, it has upped its game in both quality and quantity of entrees, beverags and service. It provides the traditional steak and seafood menu, however, the flavorings and texture of the foods are amazing. Both a family friendly place, as well as great... More

The location of The Point is terrific -- right on the Sacramento River. It has re-opened with a new menu of just great food! The drinks are good and not over-priced. The wine list is small but reasonable. The salads are excellent, having a variety of lettuce, beans, beets, tomato. The dressings are all served on the side. I have... More

We are recent arrivals in Rio Vista and we liked the location of the Point on the Sacramento River. Nice view and ambiance. The décor harks back to yesteryear with upholstered booths and large rooms. The food service was disappointing the first two times we ate there, but since it has changed owners and management, the last two times we... More

This restaurant recently reopened in December, 2014 under it's old name, offering a steak, chops and fish menu. The food was tasty, the environment very warm and friendly. It has instantly become a popular place to dine in Rio Vista....the views of the river are spectacular.

The Point has reopened with a new owner. He owns Tortilla Flats and BurgerLicious in town so we can expect the same good quality food. Our family of five enjoyed good friendly service on their second day of opening. Prompt seating where we wanted to sit. We has prime rib, burger, salmon, New York steak and a chef's special as... Memo's is closed, but this waterfront restaurant will reopen as The Point in mid - December 2014. Menu will be traditional steak and seafood, will be great to have them back!

If this passes as Mexican food from the city it should stay in the city. Rude owner to both staff and customers. Limited alcohol selection, bartenders with very limited mixology. This is not The City, this is a small Delta town and we don't mind paying for good food and service. This place has neither.
