Glad we found this

5/15/15 The tortellini carbonara and the risotto special with shrimp and salmon was really good. Nice portions and decent pricing. Service was excellent. Skip on the calamari fritti (tasted like the frozen kind and they should know better). One of these days I'll get over the $8 sticker shock of a... read more

This place has been around for a decade and the chef is knowledgeable and the waitstaff nice, but this is not, I repeat, not an Italian restaurant and has never been and will never be. Look, you can make Italian food, I can make Italian, but it takes a real sense of what makes great Italian fare to qualify, in... More

Overall our experience here was great. It was a Thur. Evening and they were understaffed, we ended up being served by the front of house manager - and owners son. Starter salad was small but the Caesar dressing (their own) was great. We both loved our pasta selections. Totally glad we skipped the line next door to eat here. We'll... More

They staff here is very nice and the food was to die for. My wife said when she says she wants spaghetti she says this is where she wants to go. No more home cooking spaghetti.

I was visiting my older brother in CA and he took me to his favorite little Italian restaurant. This is a small, delightful little restaurant in downtown Redwood City. The wait staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The warm, fresh bread was delicious. The "dipping" oil was actually quite thick with spices so you had to be careful... More

We were at this restaurant for my nephew's birthday and there is good news and bad news. The good news is that the food is hearty Italian of the kind you would expect in a small neighborhood bistro. The bad news is that it is not a place to go with more than 4 people. It took the staff a... More

We liked the restaurant, although sitting at the back was a bit noisy, with the waiters trying to see who could make the loudest noise without breaking plates. The character of the place was great, although a bit small. We were surprised by the value of the food for where the restaurant is located and its neighbors. The food was... More

When we get a craving for Italian Food we go to Vino Santo Bistro! I try to have something different but love the Fettachini with seafood! The waiters are terrific and the atmosphere is great! They even have a full bar! I had my 50th Birthday Party there, 5 years ago and was proud and happy with everything! I highly... More

This is a very enjoyable place to eat with very good food, reasonable prices, and a nice atmosphere. It is one of the better restaurants on Broadway in Redwood City and we enjoy eating there.
