Bangkok is my go-to place for excellent Thai food. Great pumpkin curry! Nice vegetarian options, friendly staff. When I hosted my own Thai dinner for friends they helped me out with some ingredients I couldn't get at the Asian market…they grow their own kaffir limes! Parking can be an issue, but I usually find street parking on Broadway across El... More

Like everyone else says - looks can be deceiving. Looks dumpy from the street but inside you wouldn't realize it's right next to El Camino. Remarkably never seems busy - waitstaff very quick and attentive. Food is delicious - great variety. We go back about once a month and I regularly have my work meetings catered by them (also great... We are new to the area and this restaurant was recommended by one of our new neighbors. But I could also see that there were many fans of this restaurant by looking at Trip Advisor and Yelp. I have been twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and I definitely agree with high ratings I've seen on line. Food... More

We have been going to Bangkok Bay at least once a month for more than a decade. My only complaint about this restaurant is that it pretty much ruins you as far as going to any other Thai restaurants -- the food is that special. Its relatively poorly-marked location is at the corner of Broadway & El Camino in Redwood... More

This restaurant is tucked away behind some municipal trash cans on a corner and it would be easy to walk past quickly. However, it was very full and the food was delicious! The service was also very efficient and we very much enjoyed our meal which was reasonably priced and well presented. A good find at the last minute.

My husband and I have friends in the Dallas area who own Thai restaurants and we have been thoroughly spoiled by the quality and quantity at their restaurants. We were completely surprised, and pleasantly so, with the food and staff at Bangkok Bay. Our waitress (and perhaps the owner?) was lovely and attentive. My husband ordered Pad See Ew and... More

We live very close to Bangkok Bay and so come here quite often, and we're always happy with the food. I've tried all of their curries and like them all, but the pumpkin curry is my favorite, and the tom kha soup is also delicious. Service is consistently good and prices are reasonable (and usually enough food to take home... More

This is a good, solid Thai restaurant with an extensive menu. The portions are ample. We ordered three dishes to share and we three had little left-over. We were also served both white and brown rice to meet each of our preferences. We were dining early to make a 6:30 movie. There were only a few other people in the... More

I love Thai food. So wherever I go to, I try to find a good but affordable Thai restaurant. There are a number of Thai restaurants in Redwood City, CA. I tried Bangkok Bay and Erawan Thai, around 30 meters away from Bangkok Bay. Between the two, Bangkok Bay is the clear winner. If I were to compare the food... More

We went for dinner on a Monday night around 6:30 PM and the place wasn't busy at all but people start coming in after 7. The reception was welcoming and courteous but once we were seated, she was way too busy talking to a couple at another table and didn't even care to take our order. It wasn't until another... More
