We live very close to Bangkok Bay and so come here quite often, and we're always happy with the food. I've tried all of their curries and like them all, but the pumpkin curry is my favorite, and the tom kha soup is also delicious. Service is consistently good and prices are reasonable (and usually enough food to take home... More

This is a good, solid Thai restaurant with an extensive menu. The portions are ample. We ordered three dishes to share and we three had little left-over. We were also served both white and brown rice to meet each of our preferences. We were dining early to make a 6:30 movie. There were only a few other people in the... More

I love Thai food. So wherever I go to, I try to find a good but affordable Thai restaurant. There are a number of Thai restaurants in Redwood City, CA. I tried Bangkok Bay and Erawan Thai, around 30 meters away from Bangkok Bay. Between the two, Bangkok Bay is the clear winner. If I were to compare the food... More

We went for dinner on a Monday night around 6:30 PM and the place wasn't busy at all but people start coming in after 7. The reception was welcoming and courteous but once we were seated, she was way too busy talking to a couple at another table and didn't even care to take our order. It wasn't until another... More

Best Thai restaurant I've tried in Redwood City. Terrific Crispy Tilapia in Green Curry. Ambiance is very nice and location is terrific near corner of Broadway and El Camino. Its just a bit pricey for me but I would go here again especially to try their more affordable lunch specials. They are celebrating their 20th year now so they have... More

We were going to the ballet down in Menlo Park/Atherton and were searching for a good place for dinner and saw the yelp reviews so we decided to try it! Made reservations on the way down to Redwood City and there was no problem. We decided to order the early bird special for $12.95 which includes a small lemon soup,... More

The Spicy Basil with Chicken was very good. I strongly recommend this place to everyone for the authentic Thai food. Try the Thai Ice tea, its good too.

We had the classical coconut soup and pineapple rice, both were very much to my taste, which means not spicy at all (I love Thai food but not spicy), so some people may find it bland. Everything was well done and the portions were too big. Don't missing having a fresh coconut if they have them.

There are many restaurants that call themselves Thai restaurants, but many are just mediocre or plain bad. So it's wonderful to find a real authentic Thai restaurant like Bangkok Bay, owned by a family with 4 sisters. The food is authentic, the service is great, the staff is friendly. We love having dinners here!

Great Place, love it!! Great food, reasonable price, enough portion to share with friends. Definitely my new place to hang with my friends, gather every member before going to the club on weekend.
